After our home game against Harthill was washed out last weekend, the Wheatley boys were raring to go as we travelled to a summery Worksop on Saturday.
We were without the services of the in-form Callum Harrison and a crocked H, but welcomed back Toppers to the fold for the time this season and Pos after his stag do..

Great game of cricket, and as you said Worksop were deserved winners. Lets hope for a revenge at Wheatley later on in the season. Love watching toby Smith bowling. Must be one of the most unluckiest bowlers around. He beats the bat on so many occasions, but the oppo just dont do him a favour by snicking it to the keeper. Glad that the weather has picked up in your part of england

I think Carl is showing the most improvement this season and seems a good player to have holding the lower order together. I'm sure it doesn't help having no fixed top order at the moment.

Fair play to Worksop they played very well. Even the secret weapon Jimmy Nixon couldn’t quite help enough.

Great video! The cars obstructing the view is an interesting one because I assume it’s a road and people wouldn’t necessarily know it’s an issue

Cheers Mark and that’s a fair assumption to make. BUT. There are two, very clearly worded, signs on that road asking drivers to wait if the bowling’s from that end. Maddening.

If Tongy had half a level of patience he will make big scores - I have watched this bloke for 12 months casually throw his wicket away. He is a far classier player than all his teammates but needs to graft out a big innings

Understand your frustrations MB but Tongy’s got nothing to prove to us. He’s the holder of Wheatley’s record individual score (176* in 2019) and has 8 centuries and 44 half centuries with a career tally of 7,000ish runs at 35s. Stick with him, some team in this league is going to get a Tongy tornado soon, I can feel it!

Nothing more British than a Kwik-Fit in the background. No idea how you bat on that pitch. More luck than judgement. How much to move those Worksop sightscreens to the pitch side instead of across the road?
