We used tools like a jack, crowbar, and pure strength to try and break out! Bryan decided to break all of the handles off and drill 2x4's on the outside to keep the doors closed! I have a pt cruiser and Im pretty sure it doesn’t have a safety latch in the trunk. Also they have a problem with the lock on the truck so it pops open when you hit bumps😂

@Heather Cannon - You're right, it doesn't. PT Cruisers don't have a "safety latch" because the back hatch is not en enclosed trunk. What Joey pulled was the actual door latch, the same as pulling the handle on the outside of the car. In my opinion, that was cheating as they weren't allowed to use door handles. Joey needs to learn about cars.

@@ginrobi01 no they can use door handles. They weren't allowed to use the drivers side door handle as it's an emergency exit. The reason they broke the other handles off was to help trap them in

Was the best way out but I dont think there is an emergency release in a hatchback since you can get out over the seat. And if I'm wrong and there was one, it wouldn't be beneath the panel it would be bright/glow in the dark handle that you can see and easily grab.

@@--B. Actually, that's just one version. What Joey was saying (about the emergency latch under the paneling) is correct as well. Normally, companies will put in an extra latch on the inside of that paneling for possible 'stuck in trunk' or 'kidnapping' situations.

@@Alucard13211 every panel I've removed its not an emergency latch, its just easy to pull the cable anywhere on the system and it will open. You can open the other 4 doors by taking the panels off and pulling on the mechanism as well.

Flip it on its side then you’d only have to block 2 doors then back the back door onto a wall and it then blocks 3 exits and if you flip on the passenger side it would only allow one exit with the rules of no using the driver door
