Winning money is very addicting…. The heart breathing through my chest before the dice come out and the adrenaline rush when hitting my numbers…. And the pure rage when I lose…. It’s addicting. And if I stop…. Who is gonna care if I don’t.

You just said it. Alcohol was destroying my body mind and spirit, boy gambling doesn’t have the risk of health so i made that excuse for myself all the time. Always the excuses. I am coming up on my fifth weekend free of going to casino. Praying I can stay free of that BS.

I lost all my money today I saved, and now I feel so sick. I wish I never ever started gambling. I want to stop so bad, but the casino will send brochures with free play and gift cards and draws me back. 😢 I'm so tired of losing my money every week. It's so sad to have this addiction. 😢

You need to ban yourself I'm doing this tomorrow my casino let's us do 1 year bans or life I always do the 1yr ban and it helps alot I've done it 3 times in the last 10yrs so I think it's time to do it again for some reason the winning is so addictive I won almost 1k tonight on slots and I started with 240$ so I was up good and started throwing 100s in machines and lost it all smfh I've done this so many times so it's definitely time to do the 1 yr ban again to get myself together again

Omg, this happens to my brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors etc they just keep quiet 🤫 some die in silence. Some are strong to stay away etc....lots of problems 😢have faith in God to survive this storm that is hitting humanity right now. Stay far far away. There is no such social gambling. Gamblers do not think logically as he states. He owns an abuse center. He makes money from them. He does NOT sound as a recovering gambler. Hypnotism, the only chance. I know.

Bad gamblers don't associate their loss amount with how much their job pays. I'm sure he didn't. He's just rationalizing. The very sad thing is they are ok with losing. It's a rush....pain.

I feel so sorry for all gamblers that get stuck in this nightmare. You must never play slot machines or go to casinos etc. You can perhaps win on horses if you don’t bet often, but you need to know what value is and the form of the horse you are betting. I always tell everyone that they should never take up gambling on anything if you haven’t started. Plus you have to get burnt before you understand what you are doing. You can quit this nightmare but it must come from you, don’t look at anything concerned with betting. Anyway I wish you all the best in quitting.

I am lucky to survive after 9 years of hell, I pass every morning and evening 4 Casinos on my to amd back work, I feel sorry for gamblers early in the morning their faces reminds me pain I was in. I pray for them 🙏 But in the evening they seem happy

You have done the initial thing is to admit it. Congratulations! Follow a 12 step program. I have realized it's no different in drinking addiction, in that you can't have just a little drink, you're off the wagon, you can't just do a little gambling, you end up spending all you have. "Don't go!" delete the apps. Get a calendar and a bunch of gold star stickers. Give yourself a gold star for every day gamble-free, it's literally a day-to-day thing.

I had a terrible gambling addiction back in the 1990's. It nearly destroyed me and and changed my life for the worse. I managed to kick it and more than 2 decades later I have no temptation. Even a Casino opened in my area several years ago and never feel the urge. The casino wasn't killing me, I was. It was my fault totally. Today I have zero debt and enough to live well into old age and beyond. Not having excuses and the humiliation helped cure me.

I agree with almost everything he said but not the selfish thing. Most gamblers are probably not selfish. And for true gamblers its not about money at all. Its all about the game, its all about gambling. The money doesnt matter. In the beginning the delusion is that gamblers think they are gonna make money. But after a couple of years every gambler should realize that it doesnt matter if I win big money, gamblers just wanna play the game. Its like that in my case. I dont give a sh about money. Money is just fuel for gambling. Gamblins is an escape. I strongly agree with what he said about trauma. I'm also convinced that trauma causes such a strong addiction. Gambling is in my opinion the worst addiction there is. And its the most complex one. Its invisible for others and many gamblers wouldnt realize that they addicted even after years. I really think this addiction is so powerful it can change your persona.

Damm, I’m in a casino right now 😕 gambling. I spend every Saturday here for the past 10years. Never had a losing year. I gamble with a bankroll separate from life money. 😕 I have monetary and time stop parameters. I know my game inside and out, I never (very rarely) disobeyed the numbers, I never (very rarely) drink alcoh0l 😕, I see big tippers, they don’t last. These dealers smile with everyone. They break my b@lls though, they see me like their coworker or something😕, I don’t look at gambling as a big score. It’s an hourly for me 😕

It's a sucker's game win often to keep u wagering. On the horses pros can win long term but you need to have actuarial skills or pay for people to do the math. A big bank over 300k is needed to start with and they only gamble 1 or 2 percent per bet. It's a business and if the advantage or edge isn't there they won't bet they will go play golf or take the kids out somewhere. For Some people it's a very serious long term problem that effects every aspect of their lives.

Cannabis(THC) does help wonders for some people, you cannot compare it to destructive toxic substances with no medical value.. Stimulant drugs for example, are REALLY dangerous for gamblers because they amplify it 10x❤

I won 60k last year and was debt free then.i become addicted to gambling 2 months later i lost all the 60k and now less than 1.year later i lost over 175k more on my credit cards now im 265k in debt because i had to put 90k in crypto to pay the 175k back I don't know no other way to pay that back I'm just a simple man i work as a security gard

I began my gambling back in 2015, when i lost my job and I'm still actively engaged in gambling to this day. Reflecting on my earnings over the past decade, it's astounding to realize that I've amassed a million dollars in income, from my regular salary. I could have easily saved for a new home and made some good investments. I've allocated maybe $500,000, towards expenses such as rent, show-off living, restaurants, travel and car-related costs. However, my gambling habit has resulted in a loss of half a million dollars. I feel sorry for myself, I feel sorry that I have put my family and my partner is a weird situation. I need help.
