On this episode, I continue my river raccoon trapline. Sets already in place needed rebaited to prepare for a weekend of checking. Raccoons may be one of the easier furbearers to catch but it still takes a lot of work to run a line. Trapping raccoons out of a jon boat on the river is certainly not an easy task, requiring a significant investment of time and energy. Fortunately, dog proof sets are simple to prepare. I always enjoy my line on the water as it transports me in time, and I reflect on the individuals from years past who would have floated the very same stretch of river likely in search of beaver and otter. Which reminds me, (SPOILER ALERT) there is a big bonus beaver catch in this show. Stay tuned and enjoy!
