This band is so fucking good live. Its unreal.

very hard song to sing at the end of the concert. I can tell he'll probably not be talking very much after that show with the stress on the vocals that song has to have! sounded good though I want to hear him sing cover live

Yeah, Stand Up's one of my fave songs from them along with Still Frame, Headstrong, and Echo...

You bring up a good point, but also remember he doesn't use vocal enhancers, is careful with his voice when he's sick, and he is not a natural like growler like in screamo where he's screaming into the mic 24/7. His screams are few and far, but well placed.

I'm almost embarassed by how often I watch this video. Almost. The way he hits that chorus just kicks me in the teeth every time!

I so agree... Linkin Park and Trapt by far are the closest bands to sounding like the record when they play live, but they also put the best twists on the songs and make them come to life... it's amazing seeing the whole crowd, big or small, sing every word back with Trapt...

He has one of the best voices live ever. :)

these guys are absolutely INCREDIBLE live!!! Only Linkin Park can rival them as far as their live sound versus studio magic.

Well the thing on the CD's is they sometimes have an echo since he's the only one in the band doing vocals... but I think his voice is amazing both on the CD and live.

@urameshiiiii See them live, they are sooo good. Believe it or not, I've seen them both with Simon and with Robb... while Simon created most of the biggest hits with them, Robb is an excellent guitarist... he fits into the band well, in my opinion... and he only made their live show better, in my honest opinion. Anyway, I honestly have no clue as why they did what they did with the music, other than they wanted to release a Live album/EP...I agree, slightly weird, but hey...could've been worse.

@urameshiiiii Yeah, if you read what I said in the videos description, you'd see I said they were free for download. The live album released in 2007 was pre-recorded (besides the 2 studio tracks Stay Alive and Everything to Lose) in 2005 in Minneapolis. He even says it in the Still Frame video, hell the Still Frame video tells the date it was recorded at :08 seconds into it... August 20th, 2005... or at least that is when it was finalized.

@urameshiiiii Sooo, I'm sorry man, but you're wrong. This was when they went on tour for Someone in Control, that's why they only played 9 songs, and "Stand Up", "Skin Deep", "Disconnected", and "Waiting" were the new ones, all from the SiC album, from 2005. I've been following Trapt since 2000 when they weren't even known yet... trust me, I know my stuff.

Well, there are many different levels of asthma. While yes, on demand you might have a less symptomatic type... I believe if you sang for 2-3 hours night after night it would put some strain on you. I do know however, that Chris from Trapt does not have asthma... and that's pretty much just the point I was making.

No, coming from a family that has asthma (although I do not have it), I'm pretty sure he does not. He would require too much airflow that his lungs do not provide. There are certain medicines and things that you can get in an inhaler form that actually help your vocal cords, however, so perhaps that is what he was doing (or he may have been sick).

Have u ever been to one oftheir live concerts? it dreadful really. well i mostly chester. mabey its cuz of a caree of yellin thounsads of times over for concerts and stuff, but his voice is flat, annoying, and simply terrible. As for the rest of the band they r ok live, not horrble, far from great tho

Yeah, due to creative differences.. i guess he wanted the band to go a different way, but it's ok... while he was one of the best guitarists, supposedly they already found a really good replacement that can copy all the riffs perfectly... so we'll see... once my favorite, always my favorite band..

Haha no problem. Well knowing him for a long time, at least, I don't think he has asthma... and being in a band and sometimes backup vocals (although I never use meds), I know there are other things to help keep vocalists vocal chords clean, healthy, and basically happy, lol.

lol seriously man, LP really is good, Live as well, but u have to think of stuff that comes into consideration, Trapt has had this before like other bands, musical equipment, mic's, and other sound stuff; basically some equipment can throw u off, plus singing for the WHOLE concert wears u down lol, makes really tired, Chris Brown (Trapt singer) gets it alot, Chester does, everyone does, doesnt make them sound bad, betcha if they sing it fresh, almost comes out perfect lol

not to me man, i've seen plenty of Live concerts, the instruments are great and Chester does well singing, half the songs dont sound right only because of his yelling and that wears him down, but even because of that, he has INSANE lung capacity, lol, i mean, in one of the concerts, he yelled at the end for like 3 minutes altogether, it was insane

@urameshiiiii This show? No... it was filmed in 2005. 2007, I saw them live that year... Yes, Simon was still in the band in 2007 (he left shortly after the tour I saw them in), but they had new music then...

okay, i didn't know about other meds for other uses that are taken through "asthma look-a-like" inhalers. thanks for the info. i would have rather be left thinking that he sang like that with asthma, He would have been more of a bad ass IMO, but nonetheless, he's still a bad ass!

I was wrong, you're right... it's a good unreleased track... when I talked to Chris, he said they're from previous years way befores labels and around the time of the EP's back in late 90's to early 00's.

Yeah, I completely agree. They throw a hellified live show... Anyone who disagrees is jealous, not an open-minded rock fan, or just lame... in other words never gone to a Trapt concert before then.

yup, you should go if you ever get the chance... they're releasing their new album in July and plan to tour around supporting it... it won't be money wasted, that's for sure.

I don't know of a song called dissemble? You sure you don't mean "Disconnected (out of touch)"?... Dissemble might be an EP or cut track, not one they play normally.

I know you said this 3 months ago but not true, i have asthma as well and can get a lot of airflow in my lungs. All depends on how well under control it is:P

Good question... they are pretty popular, just most people dont know their other songs besides Stand Up, Still Frame, and Headstrong...

good video, i recently found out about this band and had no clue they sang head strong because that has been one of my favorite songs for a while

Love this band, they sound so good live and Chis has the sexiest voice. One of my fave vocalists in a rock band...and he's super cute too.

Trapt is usually considered either "nu-metal rock" or "alternative rock/metal"... essentially they're rock.
