alright for the people asking about trap metal i gotchu. trap metal is usually seen as rap with a metal influence in the vocals and samples used. now, you have different "types" of trap metal. there's regular trapmetal, ragecore/noisetrap/trapnoise, no melody, etc. these all have their individual styles. but no, corpse is not technically trap metal in this song, the only thing he has going for him is a mild distorted bass. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
So Corpse's voice actually sounds like that, no filters and whatnot. He's famous for nobody knowing what he looks like at all and he's a streamer/musician
@Frost not true because he has hung out with Dave (boyinaband) as well. Dave said he wore a mask, and Corpse himself has said even when meeting people he is close to from YT he wears a mask. Not because he doesn't trust them, but because he doesn't trust himself. In his interview with Anthony Padilla he talked about how sometimes he takes selfies and thinks about uploading them, but then he will just put the phone in his pocket and if it somehow gets added to his snap or insta stories with his camera app open then it happens.
Corpse started out doing scary story readings on RU-vid. He never shows his face, and the deep voice is his actual voice, no voice changer. He plays Among Us and various other games with other streamers like Pewdiepie, Jacksepticeye, Valkyrae and Sykkuno. As far as I know, he does most of the music production himself. He recently did a collab with MGK, Daywalker, which is FIRE.
@@lisajohnson521 He only didn't like it cos his entire chat on livestream was saying it's trash and it's an L, guarentee if he listened to it without being biased by the chat he would've liked it
Lmao my thoughts exactly. I was like well. I hope he knows all the anime references he is about to hear😂 love listening to his nf reactions usually so this was way out of his usual zone lol
@@eeev4832 daywalker was kinda wack though. Had nothing to do with genre, it just didn’t sound that good. They could’ve produced that song a lot better IMO.
@@puddlee agree to disagree. I don't think he can be categorized yet, maybe never. With his condition we'll never hear the same voice twice. He's put out the hardest and darkest along with showing vulnerability and softness. He's an artist and I think a category other than that can never be proven or disproven.
I'm honestly surprised that at this point he hasn't heard of/heard Corpse's music. If he chooses to do more I'd recommend White Tee and Miss You! I think those two are probably my favorites.
I love how much of a variety you listen to and react to. It so hard trying to find people that step outside of their own genre and listen to others. Major love, major respect.
CORPSE is a single person, he started out by reading scary stories on his channel, then started streaming, which gained him a lot of popularity. He's been making music for a very long time, although he hasn't released most of it. During this time, he bounced around genres a lot. The genre he does now is described as "I don't know, it has a lot of bass."
I used to love the scary stories! Every So often in between watching the streams i will pop the stories on to go to bed. the voice is great way to see a demon in your dreams lemme tell ya 😂
Corpse isn’t a group/band, he’s a singular person (Corpse Husband), he does the first verse & outro while Savage Gasp did the second verse. If you haven’t listened to more of Corpse’s music already I highly suggest you do! Also he doesn’t use any filters, that’s just his voice, his voice has always been deep but his health issues have contributed to the raspiness. It’s a sexy ass voice tho ngl. Gasp on the other hand usually doesn’t sound like that, he was just tryna fit in with Corpses sound (hopefully that makes sense).
@@antisadboi6934 I had no idea who he was lol still don’t tbh, not a fan but egirls is my shit, I’ve been watching corpse for years, back when he only did stories so I was pumped when he came out with music!
@@mitchellgriffiths09 Views and Listens dont necessarily equate to how many people know/listen to him. Most of those are just the same people playing his stuff over and over again. And literally just had his first musical collab with a mainstream artist. He's getting more attention now, no denying that. But still not a super well known artist/content creator. Still being discovered by so many people. Also, there's different ways someone/something can be slept on.
@@P1Milly I mean, 4.3 monthly listeners Means be gets 4.3 different accounts listen to him monthly, that’s not taking into account the people that listen to him on RU-vid. There’s artists who are amazing and have only a few thousand monthly listeners (not taking anything away from corpse, I like him and his music) they’re the ones that’re slept on.
@@mitchellgriffiths09 Ohh, my bad. Okay, I hadn't noticed listenERS, I just thought it was monthly listenS. Does that make sense? In that case, I am wrong. Granted, I still think he's slept on just bc I've noticed that majority of the people I talk to in person and online just know him as "the guy with the deep voice" or that haven't even heard of him. But I suppose that's just my personal experience and I should've taken that into account when commenting the first time. Sorry for the hardheadedness. Also, I do agree there's so many more artists with way less listens/listeners that deserve more recognition, that haven't been lucky enough to connect with creators with big fan bases like Corpse has. (Like u said, not to discredit him or anyone)
Tbh I don’t mind corpse but he’s extremely overrated. His content is ordinary gaming and he has almost no personality, his features and collaborations outshine him in his videos, His deep voice is basically carrying his online image.
If y’all didn’t know this is an existing rap genre called Horrorcore, or just horror rap! Highly recommend looking more into it if you dig Corpse’s stuff!!!
Damn this is lika a clash of two worlds. I watch corpse game with friends on twitch and i had never even heard this. His voice is the lowest i ever heard but savage came on that track pretty nicely. I respect layedback a ton for being able to appreciate and take in all music even when its so left feild like this. Much Love!!
Yoooo the homie LayedBak with the Corpse Reaction 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 corpse is a dope dude, man. + he has gone thru and still goes thru so much bullshit, it's crazy!
This is so funny to me. I started watching you last year and I just started listening to Corspe in March. I really never would've expected you to react to E-Girls 😭
GERD, the condition that he has, doesn't affect his voice as much as you think. his voice is naturally deep, GERD adds raspiness to his voice. and bc his voice is raspy from the condition, it just contributes as to why his voice is so deep.
I guess what I can tell you is: his genre is his own. He doesn't know what genre it is and doesn't want to be defined by a genre. Corpse is Corpse pretty much. As many people have said, the voice he uses in his music is his own. He has a sickness that makes him sound raspy and with a deep low tone. Corpse has done multiple songs and each one of them is different from the last, he does his own music and lyrics unless stated otherwise. I had a feeling your reaction would be like it was tbh, if you don't know about him and what he does before you listen to one of his songs then it can catch you by surprise hahaha.
CORPSE basically has a list of health issues, GERD being one of the main ones - and also the biggest contributor to his voice becoming so deep. He doesn't use voice changes/filters. CORPSE is a youtuber/twitch streamer for games (but began RU-vid by telling creepypasta and horror stories). He began making music privately as a hobby, and only recently started releasing them. That was the backstory behind CORPSE. As for his genre, I would like to think it doesn't fall into one specific category, as he has his own incredibly unique style and taste. He's being creative by utilising his deep voice and making bangers. Not for everybody, but those that appreciate it - come to love it.
If you want to know more about Corpse, I seriously recommend checking out the two interviews he did with Anthony Padilla. The one you might be interested in the most is "I spent a day with Corpse Husband."
CORPSE does infact sound like that it is a medical condition mixed with just a normal deep voice.he became incredibly famous recently from his amazing plays in among us. he also is famous for the mystery of "who is the face to CORPSE HUSBAND" thats pretty much a brief overview :]
Listen to the other Corpse songs! He doesn’t have many songs, but the ones that are out are great. agoraphobic, MISS YOU!, White Tee, Cat Girls Are Ruining My Life are some others.
corpse originally gained popularity through playing among us on yt, then he released music that he had made and shit slaps. also, idk much about gasp, but from what ive heard of him hes also hella good
@@miniladdlikeskids im aware hes been doing horror narrations, and he was pretty big then, but he became kind of like a household name for big yters when he started playing amogus
@@mags5297 I know but it's disrespectful towards all the people like myself who first started watching him years ago. it's people hopping on the bandwagon that gets annoying. he's getting popular for the wrong reason aka him not showing his face and his voice rather then his humor and his music.
Corpse is just one person. He does what he does, there is no rhyme or reason.. there is no genre that describes his music. But check out daywalker (the music video) with machine gun Kelly featuring corpse. That is a banger. Agoraphobic by corpse is really good too to get a different feel for his music
I was waiting for you do Corpse 🤣 He started on YT in 2014 doing horror story narrations ( which are really great. I’ve been listening to his stories since about 2016) He is one of my favs. Then, he started streaming Among Us, and became extremely popular because of his voice. He has always had a deep voice but, he has a medical condition called GERD ( look up the actual name it’s too long 🤣) that makes his deep voice raspy and gritty. It’s a severe case of acid reflux and it can corrode the vocal cords over time. He has been making beats and music since he was a kid ( he’s 24 now) but recently started releasing his music about a year ago. It’s stuff is super catchy. You should do more🤗
Never thought I’d see Corpse on this channel! His voice doesn’t have a filter, that’s part of why he’s got such a cool sound. He’s got a RU-vid where he does gaming content, and his music can range from stuff like this or even LoFi!
So corpse is a streamer/musician on twitch known for his extremely deep voice. That song was no auto tune he actually sounds like that. He plays with very popular “e-girls” like pokimane. He first blew up playing among us in popular people’s streams.
Corpse is a twitch streamer that went viral because of his voice. He has an ungodly deep voice caused by a medical issue as a kid but he has great humor and makes music but won't show his face. Listen to Agoraphobic by him next.
Am so glad you reacted to corpse, he’s a really good rapper/storyteller/gamer and content creator, I suggest you look into him Also, his music, it’s INSANE, fire on every song 🔥
Yeah so corpse recently came up big time on yt for his signature deep voice, his voice on this track is his real voice, no mods. He has this really dark, edgy bassy style of rap like he did in daywalker with mgk
