Soooo true glad these cancer reactors are still makin money off of other peoples work.just cares about the views and money....clearly shows bro. This aint it bro.
@@alexguy96 you mad. id say this one of the only reactors not doing it for the money. he really do care about his fanbase and shit. like he bout positivity and all that.
alexguy96 The reactors are also promoting the artists, found a bunch of new music I enjoy through reaction channels. U sound real bitter bruh if you don’t like it don’t click
2009 is a song you'll gel really well with, his more recent stuff is much more soulful where as his older stuff is much more rap orientated. You're in for a journey when you step into Malcoms world my man.
Its sad that this is the case in a lot of people and nobody sees it. In cases of celebs, the masses usually encourage the same harmful behavior that ends up killing them instead of healthy ways to cope.
There will be NO ONE on Mac's level, it's a whole other level. Not saying he's the best rapper, but there will absolutely never be another Malcolm James McCormick. Rest easy.
Trent Coleman absolutely true. It’s like he’s speaking “now”. He doesn’t really sing. He does something that borders between talking and humming, and it makes singing sound possible.
I feel like people who were Mac fans before his death, this video means so much more just because all the small details in it that were... Mac 💔 loved this song & the video for it. It’s hard not to get into your feelings watching this video when your a mac fan 😫
like his white Mercedes g wagon that he crashed before his death, him being in the backseat like in objects in the mirror and his dog Ralphie that passed being in the front seat it is sobering
thats weird for me as I listened to all his songs back in 2014 to 2015 stopped for a little bit but came back to him in 2016 like you really can't stop listing to the guy he was amazing just wish he was alive right now
Same thing happened with juice wrld. His streaming went up 400% after he died. Sad but glad people realize what talent was out there and hopefully profits end up in their families accounts
Faces is so dark and decrepit in a beautiful way and I think it is his most introspective work he's ever done I have listened to it countless times and it is by far my favorite project by him
This song is the end credits to his life it feels like... I can’t wait for the fucking album next week... to hear the outro.... the very last Mac song.... the outro to his whole legacy..
Ryan Matson i respect that but at the same time it’s not really like an ending at all, he has thousands of unreleased songs and they speak for him without an end 💔
@@seekh660 I have listened to all of his previous stuff many times, but swimming still is my favorite because it shows a side of mac you dont see in his other stuff. But that versatility is part of what made mac such a good musician, dont tell people they are wrong for liking one album over another especially when they have different styles like macs discography.
@@kingretroflys9734 well I dont thinking was both based on the song . You can add meaning to it if you want but given the time period it was made and hos death , I dont think that would be the correct assumption.
victor keeps it 100 on the song he was saying some very sad and deep things and at the end he was saying positive things like there’s better things waiting for him on the other side. Maybe he knew it was his time and thought it won’t be as bad as it is here. But who knows, everyone can take it how they want to! rip mac 🖤
@@IT_ODIS I have been a fan since kids man but I say swimming if you read what the family said in the letter announcing the album it's supposed to be a companion album to swimming so this song is on the circles album so therefore Swimming in Circles
Mac Miller's passing was the first that really brought me to tears. He was just the realest of artists and his music was beautiful. Always helped me, RIP King Mac
I felt like I grew up with him he was a year older than me and I listened to all his music when it came out in highschool, I wish I could've met him he seemed like such a genuine person.
Justsomerapsnothingtoseehere is also super flames. The whole Faces album and all of 2013-14 Mac was dropping crazy bars. That album is when I first realized the depths of his drug addiction and his depression...
I love mac and I love the song but if you dont like the song you dont like the song simple. As my man said they are judging his music not him they just dont vibe with it no problem.
party on fifth ave got me into Mac, it's cliche to say but its truly not the same without him here anymore. No more music, only memories to cling on to. I just hope hes up dancing in the sky finally relieved of his pain.
First song I heard was good evening my friend put it on in his truck when I was a junior in high school and I’ve been a fan since. There were times when I wasn’t vibin with his music like blue slide park and all that up beat kid stuff but something about it still resonated. I think it was because he was my age and I could see his progression the same way I saw my very own progression. When his shit started to get darker and more experimental around watching tv with the sound off or faces, I was in a huge hole in my life as well. I was blacked out every day and taking anything under the sun to numb myself and his music started to sound like the soundtrack to my life. He talked about depression and addiction more than anyone else in an effort to help teach people. I saw what drugs and shit were doing to Mac and I realized that that’s what they were doing to me too and people looking in probably thought the same thing. I can honesty say that revelation saved me. I’m grateful for Mac honestly, I just wish he had someone to look up to like I did with him and his music, maybe he might still be here if he did
This shit made me cry my eyeballs out. I dont understand how u can just say “its just a vibe” and “mac wasnt doin too much here,” listening to the lyrics...dude was pouring his heart out in this song.
"kool aid and frozen pizza" was also my first mac song and alongside "nikes on my feet" remained my favorite. not too familiar with his newer stuff, but i really feel this circles record. RIP mac!
@@Ej82Eghatch wouldn't call the other 3 garbage but Imo Mac was definitely 2 steps above the other 3, I always had a few songs by him that I enjoyed but I started heavily getting into him literally the week leading up to his death such a tragedy for all of them and all their fans
3:43 i felt a different meaning from that lyric. it's cool we can all have our own. people labeled him by his past songs as corny. he didn't get the recognition he deserved. had bars on bars on faces. he felt like he had to self destruct because he struggled with himself. "paranoid they hate me" how his peers perceived him. every interview, he's happy joking kinda sometimes scratches the surface but if you wanna know mac, you can, very well. through his music. he sounded detached in swimming. but this song is straight to the point. anyway my interpretation is people don't like it, when he's sad and depressed(which is half true)everyone loved faces kids felt like he had to self destruct to make good music. he would've evolved but sadly we'll never see it now. but when he's up when he's happy i get flash back to his nardwuar interview it makes people uncomfortable. so different. he can't win, so what's the difference? "I'm sick of being too nice to people who don't do shit but consume light". Guy rly lost his light I don't think I've ever seen someone so bright. he's not even smiling sometimes but his eyes were.
I’m a grown as man but I tear up every time I hear his music, especially this one. 🥺👼🏼🙏🏽 been listening to his ART since K.I.D.S. #RIPMACMILLER #RAPDIABLO
I think a lot of people are missing the message from the hook. “Good news is all they wanna hear, they don’t like it when I’m down”. People liked talking to him about the accomplishments and great things, but didn’t want to hear about things he was struggling with. Then “when I’m flying it makes them so uncomfortable”... they had things to say about disliking his substance use. He was only using because he felt like he didn’t have anyone to help him through his struggles, and so he coped.
He didn’t think he could overcome his mindset, although he pondered about being able to in another life. He wasn’t trying to hurt anyone by leaving us, but he knew it was inevitable. Tears freely rolling, Mac you’re missed
Still shocked with the lyrics “ a whole lot more for me waiting on the other side” this song was made before his passing so crazy. Rest In Peace mac 🙏🏼
Mac Miller is a legend and it’s so cruel that this world took him from us and his family before he could cement himself as the one of the greatest of all time.
My man.. He got BARS! He's on my top 10 that's including Em biggie pac Jay Nas 3 stacks he's a rapper a singer makes his own beats and play instruments. Check out Mac miller (here we go) from the album faces You won't be disappointed. As Nike would say... Just do it 👍🏼
It's 2021. I still haven't listened to the whole album in its entirety. I still remember the first time I heard him. Kool aid and frozen pizza. About 10 years old scrolling on RU-vid by myself, eating frozen pizza.. I cried when he died
3:37 "but when im flying it makes them so uncomfortable, so different, whats the difference" This song seems like it has a lot of hidden meanings of being dead. Very Happy, but I can feel the sadness in the song. RIP
This dude gets it!!! I'm always skeptical on people reviewing deceased artist's music especially when they don't know the music well, but I loved this review!!! Keep up the great work 👍
Don’t be afraid to do more Mac Miller. Don’t worry about how other people feel, if you don’t like something of his you don’t like it that’s your opinion but based on your reaction to this I think you really will. Give him a shot I’d love to see what u think
"Im not too familiar with Mac Miller music, you know what im saying?" No man this time I do not actually know what youre saying. The man is a legend R.I.P MAC
Mac Millers last album is sad boy music, and for those of us who followed him literally his entire career... we NEEDED that album. Hard to really appreciate why we loved it and him so much if you start on his last album. We watched him grow up. In some small way, we all felt some type of ownership over his success. Because we hustled for him. Went to shows when there was only 25 people in the crowd. And followed him the whole way up, and down... We’ll love him forever. R.I.P. Malcom.
man I read your comment before watching the video, before I even heard the song, and it's spot on. The vibe it gives is just... I don't know. Feels like a good closure.
You can go down a rabbit hole of amazing music with Mac, want some trap and harder rap listen to GO:OD AM and Macadellic, want some soul? Swimming and Divine Feminine, some party rap? KIDS and Blue Slide Park, something spacey Watching Movies With The Sound Off, some experimental you got Faces he's an amazing artist man
I know it’s 4 years later.. but the vibe you’re talking about is tougher than u know. Mac was ready to transcend.. he was ready to be on that other side… it’s felt.
I never listened to mac before he died, a lot people recommended songs and most of them didn’t really connect with me but I stumbled across this song and holy fuck, I had no words it’s honestly one of my fav songs now
You have gotta check out some aussie rappers Chillinit - Wish you well pt.2 (its a vibe) Drapht - Summer they say 360 - Child Horrowshow - Nice guys finish last Bliss n Eso - Act your age Bliss n Eso - Moments
His Mixtape "Faces" is one of the best rap mixtapes of the decade if not ever, imo. It's rife with innuendo and slick lines, yet very psychedelic. It's a must listen if you're a fan of hip-hop. It's not on Spotify or anything as it's a mixtape, but you can find in on YT or download from DatPiff Editing to add that he produced most (if not all) the tracks himself as well as most of the tracks on all his later projects
He was a rapper but he started gravitating more toward sing-songy folk stuff...and it's mostly cool. The dude wasnt a rapper, he was a MUSICIAN. I dont even know how many instruments he could play, I saw him cover a 50 Cent track on guitar and singing that mf. A very talented dude with a sad end. I know he touched many people in different ways and I appreciated what he gave to the world while he was here. A lot of people can't understand what drug addiction can do to a person but I understand what he went through, that may be why I feel this track so much. RIP boy, you were a good one, both musically and as a person, heaven is full of amazing people I hope to meet one day, and you are definitely one of them.
I just wanna say I found this video to try to make a meme for Mac. I typed in “Mac Miller is trash” my heart hurt typing that lie, but so I could make one about when someone disrespects your favorite artist. But I was disappointed that I couldn’t use it for that but happy you were digging it 😂 I was like oh at least he’s being honest. Wtf he bout to say lmfao
As a long time fan of Mac Miller I think it’s important to have respect but also I wouldn’t take it to heart if you had bad critiques of his music, nobody is exempt from criticism
You should check out swimming. Circles is a companion album for swimming. The idea was swimming in circles but before you hear anything from the new album I would check out swimming
