We explained it in season 1… warzone is about proving MENTAL toughness as well as skill. Key vs Tae was controversial but Tae wasn’t going for it. Think of all the best players in the space. They have a mental edge which makes them VERY hard to beat. Day 2 is truly what matters for teams to return because the records start there. Remember season 6 we did internal matchups and twins played j lew and Nate on the same rules… Qel and Kam played on the same rules… this breaks the ice on some players. It’s literally called “WARZONE”… we are not interfering with what they are doing on the court. You have to win your battle both physically and mentally. Experience played a key part here in knowing the atmosphere and what not. Just remember, we did this previously. The only difference was, both players weren’t going for it… so it didn’t get like this
