This makes me so excited to utilise Hannah’s videos and her amazing gift 🥲🩵 I had a significant anxiety flare up at the end of the 2023 / start of this year, and it has bought up some trauma and created some new fears. I’m really excited to do Hannah’s videos and feel confident that they will assist!

I just found your videos, thank you so much. As a veteran, mother, grandmother, native American Indian yoga instructor, this will really help with those that I teach as we all seem to have trauma in our lives. Especially native American women, and men. I just watched this one and will now spend the rest of the day sorting through your videos.

I have been on a deep deep healing journey for 2 years now to recover from a lot of childhood pain that I needed to push down at the time, until, unfortunatley as an adult I was physically breaking under the weight of panic, depression, anxiety, SI, SH etc. I have always been deeply drawn to yoga, especially as something greater than a physical practice, but it has never felt "right"and my body has never felt connected doing traditional yoga. I am profoundly disconnected from my body. I just did your hips: realeasing stored trauma practice, and WOW. I honestly don't even know how to describe the experience, other than eye opening and drawing me closer to an internal voice and self that I thought was long gone and buried. Thank you for these videos, I am sure they will become part of my daily routine. Abundant blessings

Dear Hannah I am 48 and just crashing and burning a little, took a mental health leave to try to figure things out. Your videos are going to be a help for sure. Thank you for your desire to reach those in need of help. I had no idea of the changes in mental health practices, I kind of gave up awhile ago and never believed someone like me who couldn't sit for 5 minutes could EVER do all this. Relieved to start a believable journey.

Thanks for this, doing your videos almost everyday, dealing with dissociation (DPDR) symptoms on a daily basis. This was very helpful to hear all this stuff and to know you have recovered from trauma yourself. Hopefully I can reach that level as well one day myself! Thanks Hannah

Hi Hannah I have been struggling with cptsd for years and have tried yoga before but always found it very triggering and had pretty much given up on the whole thing. I just came across your videos a couple of days ago and it was a completely different experience than anything I’ve ever tried before. The fact that it was ok to choose and that I was in control confused me at first and made me cry. Could it really be true that I was allowed to have a say in what was happening to me? After crying with relief to be in a safe space where nothing bad or unexpected would happen and where I had some control, I completed a whole class, and I felt like I finally found a place to feel safe and cared for. I cannot Thank you enough Hannah. I wrote my therapist today and sent him a link to your channel

a bit of the same experience for me. i put so much pressure and expectations on myself, because of my abusive mother, that i never really knew how to make choices that FELT good, especially taking care of myself. there was pressure with everything i did. hannah’s voice is calming and soothing and loving. unlike my moms verbal abuse. i didn’t know how to be with myself and my terrifying feelings. they were always invalidated. so whatever works for us in this video is what it’s about. this week i just listened to it because i was feeling paralyzed both mentally and physically. tried stretching a bit on the couch as i lay there. just letting the traumatized thoughts pass by… because they are just thoughts.

They do wonders in getting me out of my own head and helping me become more grounded and present. Tysm queen, I've learned so much!

My hips are so tight and lower back and thighs etc etc my go-to has always been Yin Yoga but this is better in that I did have choice to move more to however I wanted and whatever felt better. Hey Hannah. Im experimenting with being completely free to do whatever feels right during a class. It's SO nice hearing that. However, a challenge has come up: When i'm staying longer or doing other poses and you're moving on to new chapters and options, it can feel like i'm loosing connection when what you're saying doesnt apply anymore and is completely different from what im doing. Almost like im not in the class anymore. Too far off. It's somehow important to feel you're talking to me, and to follow to some extent, even following "not to follow". Still on the same page. Experiencing a safe space, being guided, free but still supported and "held". Coming back each chapter can help maintaining the connection, but my body might feel like doing something else or i might be in the middle of some processing, and then it can feel interrupting when you're moving on to new "chapters". Or i've been on my own for a while and in the middle of some deep stuff, and hearing you talking about something else can feel uncomfortable like disconnection and abandonment. I still feel the need to check in what's going on, to stay on the course, see if it applies or not, but even this can interrupt. So a conflict arises in following my process or staying connected. Both are important. Being free to make my own choices is healing, but being disconnected from the class also affects the sense of security and support. I know i can do my thing for as long as i want/need and just come back when it's time while still being connected, or just follow more if i want. Still not easy. Maybe not rely too much in the outer support, maybe it's about expectations, maybe don't go too deep into trauma, it's still just a yoga class, over internet.. idk.. you have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks for your classes and radience.

Hello! I found your channel through a post on a forum I belong to (Yin Yoga Network on FaceBook). I am so thrilled I found you. Great content! My questions are, where did you get certified as a TIY teacher? Do you recommend in person over online (I live in Connecticut, in the US). For the right experience I am willing to travel depending on the time commitment. I became a certified yoga teacher in 2020 and I would love this type of yoga to be my primary focus. Do you have any plans to do any YTT? Thank you!

I am addicted to the feeling of tightening up or curling up on the couch and playing video games for hours. Along with the feeling of contraction I also get a kind of drug like painkiller effect. It feels like I have a steady stream of opiates or something similar and its very pleasant but destructive to my life otherwise. After doing this for a long time my face and body are very hard and painful when I move and I feel very lethargic. What do you recommend to break this cycle?
