Bless you all. I couldn’t do your job, I’d be crying way too much for these people addicted. My one daughter is, haven’t seen her in years. I think of her always and I do miss her. Keep praying for her.

Watching here in NYS, USA. Watching this show actually helps with the medical PTSD we have. Doesn't get rid of it, but it helps. Thank you for putting these videos up.

I love this program. Being from the US, I get tickled with some of your language. "Oh, we have gesticulators!" is something I've never heard uttered.

Greetings from the American southwest. I have SO enjoyed this program. Paramedic Sue reminds me of a younger Linda Ronstadt.

I was an American "street" EMT-Intermediate for most of the 1980s. Went into the service, became partially disabled... Became interested in Bushcraft, Camping, etc... last month, age 60, earned my certification as "WEMT" - Wilderness EMT/Basic Wilderness Life Support. Nothing at all like this (not anymore). Just treat & stabilize, and arrange for an evac if needed.

I turned 60 too..disabled from neck hardware..got a purebred GS, he’s my light lately..can be quite the pest but he makes me get off the couch..love him to bits..you should see the other Brit shows like the helicopter rescue with a doc on board, they can do all sorts of stuff in the field.

Massive thanks to the medics who opened up about their own struggles with their mental health. Not only does it benefit their patients but it goes a long way to fighting the stigma that still exists around mental illness. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

If only the US emergency services (both transport and emergency facilities) used gas and air (NO²/O²) as it could enable pain relief for patients while reducing the amount of oral/iv meds of both non-opiates (can be toxic to the liver and gastrointestinal system) and opiates (in certain populations can create a higher risk of addiction/addictive behavior). Obviously, NO²/O² carries it's own risks but many can be mitigated by decreasing the flow of the NO²and increasing the O².

They don't use it here it's less cost effective, i.e. they can't charge you 500 bucks for a pill if they did that.

Great show. In US there's such a paucity of pediatric mental health experts. If your arm is broken-bingo, we'll fix it. If it's severe depression-they're often dismissed. In the US-veterans suicide also occurs at an alarming rate.

It appears that the U.K. really has a very high count of its Citizens who are poorly and have diminished life coping skills in some areas of the Country. What’s worse is that its NHS is losing the battle and the Country’s MP’s don’t consider the health/healthcare of the Nation a priority. They should be ashamed of themselves. Sad. 😞 Very very sad. 😞

It’s absolutely criminal that patients suffering from mental health crises are left without any form of assistance and support. The saying, ‘Healthy mind, healthy body’ screams what needs to be put in place in every country. If you have a failing mental health service, you’re going to have a huge epidemic of sickness in the population. If the government put more money into child mental health services and supported parents and children early on, you’d have less of a mental health crisis in adulthood (which costs the government more in the long run). How many young people have to commit suicide before something is done? This has been going on for the entirety of my lifetime (50years) and it’s still not changed. We need to increase corporate tax, stop being held hostage by million/billion £ companies and banks and start pouring some of that wealth into the populace, where it’s needed. The uk is going to implode, it’s already started. It’s devastating and absolutely heartbreaking.

Notice the lack of highly charged, emotional scenes in the ER. All is calm and staff are focused simultaneously on the job at hand and the patient. When emotions are running high, mistakes can be made, and staff burn out. We could learn something here.

Alcoholism is a real danger if you stop for any reason so sudden with a history of drinking.

The amount of mental health illness and alcoholism in England is unreal! Prime example of why the legal drinking age should be 21 NOT 18! The brain isn't fully developed yet in an 18 year old and even worse is allowing 16 and 17 year old teens to legally drink with a parent in a restaurant/pub.
