Not if she's telling people naloxone/ narcain is no good for a fentanyl overdose!! That advice could KILL someone!! And that using meth once & you're immediately addicted,sorry but that's just not true. U need more than compassion for that job I'm afraid & understanding that most addicts use to self medicate doesn't qualify as a 'great understanding of addiction' Maybe if she gets clean & studies up she'd b good at it tho.

@@kathyinwonderlandl.a.8934 no, that’s untrue. I’m a single mum with a little girl born with something very rare. I work and look after her with zero support. Things can get to much at times as I only get less than 4 hours sleep broken each night. So, yes, this does put things into perspective for me but I live a very tough life and we spend weeks in hospital which means I cannot work. I didn’t judge you, please don’t judge me!!!

@@joelmonkley6177 thanks, Joel. Unfortunately, the funding isn’t there for help. I’m not a nurse but was given training to do this and I do it overnight as my little girl needs to go to school. This won’t define her but will make her stronger. I want her to grow up carefree and the only way that I can do that is by running her meds overnight, each night. It’s a small sacrifice to make for her to be able to have a childhood. It won’t be forever and she’s my greatest achievement. Life is about choices and she deserves the same opportunities as any other child regardless of the shit card she was dealt. So, I suck it up and do it as she’s my daughter. She’s the brightest child, and is such a lovely little girl. She has empathy in the bucket load due to her spending so much time in hospital. She’s the love of my life and any tiredness is worth it. They don’t stay little for long. Much love, Joel. ❤️

@@sofiarose4533 ❤️I understand my son is ,12 now I'm 52 and I wonder how fast it has gone I worry every day about my kid and missus I'm lucky I work only 15 mins from home and I'm lucky that I'm only away from home 10 hours at the most 4 to 5 days a week be proud of what your done your daughter is your soul mate and that's fine life is too short we don't know it I hope things turn out better for you and keep smiling hopefully you and your daughter might have a vacation sometime together that's what I love about family spending time together prays for you 🌈💗🙏

@@MarkGelderland yeah she got some stuff wrong but don't we all sometimes? Her heart seems in the right place but some of the stuff she said was actually quite dangerous. I would hope if I was od'ing from fentanyl someone would give me Noloxone. As for becoming addicted to meth after 1 time I don't believe that's physically possible but hey if it stops s'one trying it,all good.

I live in the Netherlands and I take heavy pain pills prescribed bij mine neurologist for 8 years, because I have an musculaire genetic disease . I'm already for 8 years on the same dosis and had never the need to take more. Never my body asked for it. So when addicts call that as an excuse it's a lot off crap. The doctors in Europe would only describe heavy pain pills when it's only necessary.

I am from the Netherlands aswell and my neurologist says to never ever start with Oxycodone (Percocet) for pain relief. In the past few years it is prescribed more and more often in the Netherlands. Still not as much as in the USA. He says it has a very bad side effect that it gives you feelings of fear and anxiety. He isn't a fan of tramadol either. I have seen several interviews of people telling us that their drug addiction started with Percocet pills. The pharmaceutical industry are criminals and legal drug dealers.

I'm a criminal defense attorney, I defended many addicts always have the individual placed in long term rehab. Short term.rehab is like a mini vacation to the individual. Also, if they DI NOT HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA MAKE PART OF THE SENTENCING "you have to receive the GED or other forms of the Diploma mandatory before release. If you hear the stories majority of them.do not have a diploma! Stay he as healthy and safe. Doesn't everyone knows that heroine is not done!! Why do you start it? Even though you have very traumatized issues. Everyone nowadays knows that heroine is a no go!! So what's the excuse you have to start it? You don't start using heroine after marihuana, what I often hear as an excuse! If that was the issue, then 70% of the Netherlands where addicted to heroine. Luckely it is 0,001% or even less

You neglect to mention these people have emotional pain so heavy to carry the sucoming to drugs for relief can hardly be called a choice. Yes the changes you mention are correct however desperate people sadlyonly think about relieving immediate emotional pain. Given same circumstances we all behavior same, even you.

some people are suffering so much emotionally they can't discipline themselves to care about long term, they seek desperately for some immediate relief no matter how fleeting. Emotionally tortured people aren't able to focus long term as so in need to rid anxiety or search for ways to lift their spirits immediately. Sensible choices. Peaceful people do, they live well, can delay gratification bce they can. Often studying term, don't react to negativity etc etc, they have the correct training and mental tools and end up with great lives. Wouldn't we all do that if we could. We all want to be happy and successful, if we are not, it's because we can't. So it's not really about choice, it's about what's inside us driving the choices we make. Some are riddled with fear, frustration, emptiness, or even clueless how to live properly, this makes them feel so crap they often give in to vices. Vices are a comfort for those that can go the distance. You must understand that some people feel really bad in side. This is why we shouldn't judge, they almost always can't do better. If good choices were easy, I would choose to become doctor, wait for perfect husband and do everything right, but we are our programming for the most part.oh, I would also be an always healthy eater and sports nut so I could enjoy an excellent body.

NICKSTER She should go.on after clean and sober become a Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Wasting her God given talent to drugs. She can help people stay clean and sober. Has the experience just needs the theory behind her! Young lady get clean and sober as well as God in ur life + an education and do not look backwards go forwards. Idle talent is a waste of potential and yiu have what it takes to be successful.

Fully agree, you can't learn the true cost of the devastating loss unless you have been in the situation where all you have left is the fact that you are still alive. She could truly help so many people.

I am so so sorry for your struggle. You might see me as stupid and ignorant for what I am about to say. Well I am because I have literally zero experience with drugs in my life. Not even marijuana. Got drunk few times and smoking cigarettes at parties but never got hooked on tobacco or alcohol. I have recently seen a documentary where a psychiatric doctor explains the positive impact of ayahuasca on any kind of addiction. They did some research, tested it on some people and came to that conclusion. Few days later I have seen an interview with a former criminal who also did drugs ocasionally, and after traveling to Peru and ending up trying aya which he did not plan to do, he quit all his criminal activities and never tried drugs since. This doctor said aya is not addictive, and not harmfull, it is psychodelic but it is not considered as drugs. I dont know why doctors dont use it then to solve a huge addiction problem. Seems to me that they like to create problems by prescribing Percocet too often.

@@Ally2018. ive heard of this as well. I think you have to have mental stability of some sort to use that bc its a psychedelic substance. Worth looking into. Awesome you dont have any addictions!

@@arthurstillfried2946 Sorry to tell you but i do have an addiction. It is youtube I am trying to limit myself of. It is just not that destructive as drugs and sometimes it is pretty informative and usefull but still a huge time consuming habit.

Hers wasnt a choice she stated her mom got her on drugs so she would be able to sell her daughtersbody yo a man at age 11. The drugs would make her daughter more ok and able to do it. So no it was not a choice

That's okey as long you don't judge. It can be hard to understand how addiction works and is if you never experienced it yourself. Things that seems so "black and white" and totally right isn't. So it can be hard to understand for some who never walked in those shoes🙏

Of course, you are in the right for your opinion as am I and who is "right" can be debated forever. But I most say that I'm surprise that you feel that if you walked in those shoes. And even if it doesn't match you and your addiction, you must have seen a lot and how the struggle is for some ppl. I know several ppl who have used drugs and never been "lost" due to the addiction but several, including myself, who totally lost control of mind and body for years and became sick in their addiction.
