This lesson originally was released only for channel members, but I thought it might be helpful for everyone. For about 8 minutes, you will hear a native English speaker talk about what he likes about his country of The United States, and what he might not like about Icelandic culture. If you would like to become a channel member, there is information below.

Thank you for taking us around for a nice walk!💙 Everything is clean and calm, a Lego-like city :). Love the atmosphere! Please consider visiting Helsinki/Finland too.. It's not that cheap at all either, but I'm sure, you'll be fascinated by the country!

The calories do count during a vacation, Brent! Don't eat dinner twice, go back tomorrow. I had a fall in a sauna on Sunday so I am at home. Luckily none of my bone is broken but my upper left feet is swollen. It was still a luicky fall because I hit my jaw very hard in the sauna bench and knee on the floor but nothing is broken. I was relieved... So every cloud has a silver lining, I can watch a couple of lessons from you. I heard that you met with Bob.

Don’t feel bad because of the indifference of passersby. Americans are indeed the most sociable (welcoming) people I have ever met, that's why we love American.😊

Hi Brent ) Could you help me find one of your old videos where you jokingly said "if you want to sound like a native speaker - make mistakes" )) In that video you were also explaining the difference between lie and lay 🙏 I'd really love to rewatch it again )

Aw man, it was nice video! I think that the yellow fridge in the beginning was something like a food sharing, Maybe kids who have to many food during the school day put into the fridge and share with others. And the best what you said was "calorries don't count on vacation" 😂😂😂😂

Food sharing is very popular in Europe, we have many places, even in my small city but not on the school property, rather in the city centers. It can protect food before waste.

I think you generalize too much. There is not a unique European culture. There are very different cultures. There is not the same in a big city than in a town, there is not the same in the north that in the south. In the USA not everybody says hi or says pardon everywhere, I've spent some time in NYC and Chicago and the ambience is kind of aggressive and cold even for someone that usually lives in a big city in the south of Europe (Madrid)
