Join Terry and Jill from @Jafffa Adventures on this awesome Queensland 4WD journey. We travel north along the Queensland Coast between Brisbane and Townsville and visit all the hidden away 4WD spots we can find before turning inland and travelling back south through the Queensland outback. Our aim is to visit as many hidden four wheel drive spots that we can, and enjoy off the grid camping and overlanding.
The other main purpose of our trip is to spend some time and money in remote communities that have been hit hard by Covid-19 and the resulting travel restrictions. We try and play our part in helping remote Australia get back on track.
In episode 4 we continue north up the Queensland coast and visit one of the best free camps in Queensland, Notch Point. From there it is a short drive to Cape Palmerston National Park, a real gem that should not be missed. Great camping and awesome beach driving continue as themes of this episode.
As always, we provide detailed maps so you too can find and visit these remote 4WD destinations in Queensland.
If you have just joined this journey, be sure to go back to the beginning and catch episode 1. Stop what your doing and go check that one out first! Here is the link:

Good stuff mate, enjoy your journey south and the little hidden spots. Since that trip we visited Cape Palmerston for a second time and loved it just as much. I’m off to Tassie for a month now, need to find more hidden gems👍😎

Brahman cows actually. We’ve got a big old bull on or property about twice their size! The drone shots are excellent Terry. They really give a great overall perspective. Quick question time. What tyres do you have and, do you run the UHF when driving and if so on what channel? Happy days. 👍

Thanks for watching and commenting David. Sooo they are not sea cows aye?😂. I would make a crap station owner... I’m running BFG muddies, KM3’s. I ran Cooper STT muddies for the past 25 years and this is my first experience with BFG’s. I like them but they are definitely noisier than the STT’s. I do indeed run the UHF. If we are on the highway it’s always on 40. That way we can hear the truckie chat which often has road conditions and other info (like flash for cash locations). Off road it depends. If it’s somewhere that stipulates a designated channel, we will be on that one (like channel 10 in the Simpson Desert). If there is no stipulated channel I’m usually on 15 or have the unit on scan. Cheers David😎👍
