For our 4th wedding anniversary, we tried El Nido Resorts Travel Bubble program. Just to give you an overview -- it's a Department of Tourism approved initiative wherein you are traveling with the same group of tourists from the private hangar, aircraft, to the island of your choice. No other guests or tourists (outside the bubble) will be traveling with you and only a few slots are provided per travel schedule (4D/3N trip). Once you reach the LIO Airport, you will be assigned to a small group and you'll be with them for the rest of the trip (boat rides and tours only). Normally, it's just 4-6 guests per group. The resort also made sure that social distancing is in place (you have to schedule your time at the pool, tours, and even when you'll be dining in the restaurant). Masks are also required if you are in public spaces. The employees are also tested every travel bubble. RT PCR test for all guests is also required 48 hours before your flight. We opted to have ours done at home for less exposure.
Even for a short while, we felt at ease, comfortable, and forgot about our worries back in Manila.
