After tasting some of the amazing food you guys cook on trips i can only imagine the magic you guys will be producing with your new Travel Buddy marine. Enjoy it and cant wait to see what you create.
Hi mate, I am in Australia too, I love my travel buddy marine and have been using it along with my somerville metalworks trays for quite a while. Love it to bits mate. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine. Cheers Steve
Only just catching up on your videos mate great to see your happy with your new marine oven. It's a bummer that shipping to middle east is so expensive considering I've done freight to Europe, UK and the USA which is further but also much cheaper. Funny i never put 2 and 2 together that the small oven i sent to you when unknown Direction paid for it
I’m in Australia and I love my Travel Buddy, I use it 5 or 6 times a week however….they are around 8 years old now and in need of certain upgrades. I’m in waiting for the Travel Buddy 2.
I just bought a marine travel buddy for my first gen montero build I've been working on. I'm excited to try some new recipes on the road. Doing a roast or what not while I'm driving will be fantastic.
Airbats, thanx for watching. We have some awesome recipes airing on the show over the upcoming weeks. We have just returned from an 8 day camp and we used the Travel Buddy often. Thanx for watching
Not Exactly, We have been using it for 3 years and after heavy use the mechanism has had some wear. You can adjust it. But if you are going to be cooking bigger portions other than pies and the roads are really rough, you do risk a 2 kg roast slipping back on a 30 degree incline and forcing the door open. My suggestion is to add the locking mechanism. They are really cheap.
G'day the insulated door is not necessary the latch is however a great benefit and are really cheap i sell them for $5 AUD but you can always find something at your local hardware shop. Like shaun said once you start adding tray and roast etc inside the and you bouncing it around on steep tracks there's the potential for it to come open.
