Amazing how you're able to cook in your hotel room. I think we would all like to see a video showcasing your tools and how you pack them with all your other things! Thanks for another great video!
The hardest part of travel on me is the food because for health reasons I have to eat very basic' simple, whole foods and you don’t get that very easily while traveling and it’s easy to stray. Wonderful ideas! I think I can now do eggs and salmon very easily! Yes to more travel cooking videos!
I agree with you 100%. Eating out while traveling number one is usually not very healthy because of the seed oils and things that they use that I tend to have an inflammatory reaction to but also because it gets really expensive especially when you’re going on long-term travel adventures. I’ll be making a video soon on some of my favorite items and I pack them.💕😊
Please speak about your homemade spices Container plus ALL your kitchen gadgets etc. I been so thrill to follow your lead of items and products to help with my travel- thank you SO MUCH❤
I went to Mentor Ohio and saw the eclipse - no clouds, could see the suns solar flares - truly a moment beyond words. Glad you and David were able to see it too! ❤
I was so stoned that we were able to see the solar flares! The person that I was with had special binoculars that allowed us to see everything and even the sunspots and it was just spectacular💕😊
I always love your cooking videos. A hotel I have used for years got rid of its restaurant during covid and it never came back. The location is perfect for my needs, so I don't want to find another hotel. I use a local grocery delivery service and cook in the room. You have given me so many good ideas. I don;t starve.
I never thought of using a food delivery service to the hotel! But that would’ve been great considering I didn’t have a car the first couple of days and we had to Uber! Thanks for that suggestion!😊
Great being able to cook in your room. I was surprised that in the US it is not common to be provided with a jug/kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in your rooms - it is standard here in NZ and other countries. Would love to see your packing of your "kitchen" also those condiment containers look so cute and small.
Most hotels here will provide you with a coffee maker, but I did a short last year, which showed you mold and mildew in a coffee maker and so I never use them. I will be making a video on all those things that I used for my travel and which situations I use them in very soon.💕😊
This was a fun video, from the near miss at the airport to your emotions at the eclipse. Which I understand ...I get teary too when Mother Nature amazes us with her splendor. In a world jaded by AI, seeing the real thing is both rare and awesome. And a big yes to your kitchen on the road video in the future! TY.
Thank you so much! It’s a little bit out of the norm of my video content, but I’m trying to add in some real life to my videos and showing that I really do use a lot of these things💕😊 truly appreciate your feedback and I’ll be making a complete video on my travel items soon!
You are such a fun lady with fabulous ideas! :) Great ideas for me to take away when we travel. Why not make your own brekkie & coffee in the room while padding around getting ready for the day? It's economical, healthy & you know exactly what you're putting into your body. Thank you for sharing. :)
I'm not sure if you'll see this comment. But I just have to say .. I've been watching your channel for probably a year or more by now, and I absolutely love it! My husband and I have started traveling a lot more recently, thanks in large part to our own RU-vid channel. Every time we travel, I try out more and more of your ideas and I'm never disappointed. You have made our journeys so much better!! I love the style of your videos as well! I have a feeling we have quite a bit in common, even if our channels aren't necessarily about the same topic! Although, there is some overlap 😊 Keep the content coming, I'll be here following along!!
I just subscribed your channel! If you’ve been following me, you know that I do some preparedness things on my own here. I’m not really a preparedness channel, but I do think travel is a lot like being prepared for anything, but I also think everyone should have a little bit of something prepared even if they’re not a complete prepper! I’m so happy my videos are helping you with some of your traveling and I’m looking forward to watching your videos as well! So funny because today I just finished filming a preparedness video for keeping the summer during a power outage! Would love to collaborate with you guys on something!😊💕
Thank you so much!! I replied to your comment yesterday, but I also included my email address in my comment, so I wonder if it got filtered out. But anywho .. I'd love the opportunity to do something together. Do you have ideas on what that would look like to you? I don't have much for experience with collaborations 🤣🤦♀️ I love the idea .. which makes sense.. because I love ALL of your ideas 😀😀😀 I've learned so much from you, I feel like I've known you forever 😊
@@wickedprepared if you go to my channel page, you’ll be able to see contact information for me, including an email. Let’s take this conversation to that and see where we go.💕😊
So funny! We had very similar eclipse experiences. We flew to Austin and had BBQ at Terry Black’s. Holy moly it was so good! Then we drove to Marble Falls, TX where we sat next to a field of beautiful blue bonnets and were VERY lucky to see the eclipse through the cloud cover. Great minds think alike! 😅 Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to seeing more detail on your travel kitchen.
Aha... mystery solved.... you went to Dallas for the eclipse. Breakfast, bluebonnet, expert guide and barbeque and a total solar eclipse..... fantastic! : )
Love seeing how you cook while travelling. My travel breakfast is usually a bagel with some vegan cream cheese. These days I nearly always opt for somewhere that has a kitchen.
Thank you so so much! We ate out a few nights and I just couldn’t believe how much of a bill we would rack up! One meal is $149! I could buy more than a weeks for the groceries with that! Plus, if you’re vegan, it is really hard to find good Vegan food unless you’re in India.😊
I live in San Antonio and it was BLACK during eclipse, even though we missed most of it due to cloud cover, it was an amazing moment…. And thank Lady Bird Johnson for the bluebonnets. We get them every year thanks to her foresight, we have beautiful bluebonnets in the spring. @theory of simple did you get to check out H-E-B?
Tips if you fly out of OAK! T-2 (southwest) is always way over crowded. TSA lines etc. Once you check your bags (curb or agent) walk over to T-1 lines are always short and often no wait! Then used the corridor that links T-1 to T-2. 😉 Waiting on the spice jar videos..never seen such a small flip top..hopefully it isn’t Daiso only! 🤞
Thank you so much for that chip on T1 versus T2 at Oakland! I’m gonna give that a try next time. I couldn’t believe how long the TSA pre-check line was and now they are filtering in everyone who has clear ahead of everybody else. I will be making a video on my complete travel kitchen items soon and yes, those spice things will be something that I made up and I will show you how I did it.😊
@@TheoryofSimple SW has numerous departures EVERY hour ALL day long. T1 has maybe 20 flights throughout the entire day. The volume is way less. If you just have a carryon..go right to T-1 and use the corridor at the top of the ramp (left turn) after you pass TSA. Trust me you’ll never go thru t2’s checkpoint ever again!
@@cj9667 I guess even if you have checked luggage, I could check it in at Southwest and then walk out and go over to T1 to go through TSA😊 we always have to find ways to outsmart the system💕😊
@@TheoryofSimple curb check is faster...the inside agent check line will include everyone! For some unknown reason people lose their minds as soon as they enter the airport. Things run smoother in T-1. Absolutely..two minute walk to t1, breeze thru the checkpoint and a 2 minute walk thru the corridor right to your gate. Things run smoother in T1.
As someone who travels with allergies I have been looking for ways to be able to cook wherever I go. I would love to see your full packed kitchen setup! I’ve been looking into more collapsible cookware and bought the collapsing cups you recommended and love them! Worried about materials when it comes to collapsing kettles and boiling pots so I haven’t bought those yet let us know your recommendations! Thanks!
Hey Eunice, this was a fun video. I’m always looking for ways to keep my belongings organized in my hotel room . I would love to see a video on any ideas , tips, or hacks that you have for that.
Love your playful personality Eunice and videos! Yes please, kitchen on the go video! After my brothers death a year ago, I was homeless and lived in a hotel for three months so after work, it was all about fast food on the go and I wish I knew about this neat stuff. Q: Because I'm new to your channel, wondering if you already discussed how you pack your kitchen supplies and food to cook up for travel? Luv and Hugz, Cynthia ❤🙏🌹🦋
Thank you! So sorry to hear shot your brother. I lost my brother 6 years ago. Sending you hugs🥰 I have not done a video in how I pack a kitchen up for travel but I will soon!
Aww, thank you so much for sharing your trip with us, especially the solar eclipse. Some of us were not able to see it and that's a YES on seeing your travel kitchen. God bless 🙏❤
That sounds like an insane TSA experience! I get to the airport 2 hours before boarding time, 3 hours for international flights. I always assume things will go wrong, and Canada's air travel system is way more messed up than yours is! Glad you made your flight! And that they didn't lose David's CPAP. Some cool travel kitchen gadgets there. I Usually just take my Sea to Summit X set pot and mess kit, an immersion coil, and esbit stove in case I want to heat something outside. But then, I travel carry on only. The eclipse was incerdible, wasn't it! I was fortunate enough to be only a few hours drive from totality (although totality in that location lasted only 46 seconds.) I could not believe how much colder it got!! What an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience!!
We are headed to Ireland in September for 8 days. I would LOVE to see a full video of all of the cooking tips you have to offer. I think we will be doing that alot, especially breakfast. Thank you in advance.
A cheap lightweight cutting bard; Buy the pack of 3 plastic cutting boards and cut a rectangular piece as a travel cutting bd. that weighs next to nothing and takes up no room. TY
I’m traveling here and only that’s exactly what I do. I actually buy the ones at the dollar store and cut them to fit the size of the plastic food bags.💕
Yes, I’d like to see more of your travel cooking too. Glad you got such a good look at the eclipse! I traveled from the Midwest to Austin. We saw little snippets of the eclipse when the clouds cleared. Didn’t get as long a look at the corona as you, but what we saw was amazing!
I try to be at the airport 2 hours before flight time. I had an incident once with my travel companion. Glad we were early! Ohio had a great view of the eclipse also! No clouds. I totally get what you meant about the totality and darkness. I was surprised how dark it actually was! Great time!
This was such a fun video to experience with you! My husband vame in and mentioned how dark things were getting, but nothing was on radar. I replied well, it wouldn't be, and then he remembered it was the eclipse 😂. I love how much enjoyment you got out of all this - it made my heart happy to see! Would love to see a kitchen video on all you bring with you
Great video! We saw totality in Segovia, TX with a few clouds. It was so beautiful and the crickets and nighttime birds came out. Different than 2017, but still so cool to see our country get so excited for it.
Thank you so much and I’m so glad you enjoyed this video! Trying to incorporate more of me actually using all the things that I recommend on this channel! 💕😊
Oh my my son is an eclipse chaser we flew in to Austin on hawaiian my sister in law who lives in Dallas met us in Austin we went to San Antonio then drove to Ennis to see the blue bonnets and Indian paint brush it smelled nice We also ate at Teri blacks in Austin, but salt lick was even better. Then went to Fort Worth stockyards for couple days then to Waxahachie where my son booked at the university SAGU and had a pre eclipse buffet Same thing the air was getting cool and I got goosebumps and my eyes started to get teary from the awesomeness of God. We have seven wonders of the world And this eclipse was a wonder of the universe. I would have loved to have run into you. Last year we saw the partial ring of fire eclipse in goose neck bend border Arizona and Utah. We got into Austin but left from Dallas hawaiian air only flies into Austin Returned Hawaii via AA My son said the weekly rental rate was cheaper to return car to Dallas instead of where we picked up in austin First time for us in Texas and we enjoyed it especially stockyard parade of beautiful long horn steers. They retire them after and they live out their lives happily. I was happy to hear that. Congratulations on your first eclipse
I'm glad you got a pretty good view of the eclipse! I live 3 hours south of Houston, and we were supposed to have over 97% totality in the back yard. Wouldn't you know the one day in 21 years that an event like this happens, we had completely overcast clouds and threatening rain, even though it didn't. There was no sun visible at all that day, so it was already dark. It did get a little darker, but that was it.
I wash it out with soap and water, but I don’t use any bleach or or anything. Because you cannot carry bleach with you when you fly, I would have to go buy it, but I usually have Clorox wipes with me and I can wipe it out with that.😊
@@marilynkay831 oh my bad - she did check her bags now didn’t she. (Didn’t think off that because I never check my bags - personal choice) thanks for the response.
Yes, I did check a bag. I had brought so much kitchen equipment with me because I’m testing out some new things and I wanted to see what’s worth bringing and what’s not worth bringing.💕😊
Your new friend Willard is a reminder of why we travel. You wouldn't have had the chance to meet him if you hadn't been in that field to watch the eclipse.
I really love my Blendjet 2 but I’m also really frustrated that they’re having such trouble since the recall with sending out replacements. To request the replacement we had to destroy our blenders and provide proof so I’ve been without it for months. I wonder if the little blender you’re using is as good.
I did a video last week about my minimalist travel kitchen, and I’m doing a video this week on some cooking. I do with some other items that I brought with me on the last trip.😊
I hate when there are situations (like you described at the beginning) where it should've been easy enough for a TSA person to help facilitate the bag retrieval but they don't and travelers are just left helpless. The poor people behind you!
@@luvzdogz yeah I think they just feel that they have too many people that they’re trying to get through and it took them 20 minutes to get a female TSA agent over there so that the woman who needed the Pat down to get it done. I think they just don’t have female agents as well.🤷♀️
Great video! I was wondering if you experience this 9or any of your subscribers do ) and if you have "solutions"- I seem to suffer from extreme fatigue when landing at a destination. It is not jetlag, it is extreme fatigue. Have you ever experienced this? If so, have you been able to combat it? It is so annoying for me because I simply don't have any energy and trying to walk through an airport is so difficult . I feel like a zombie!! Any suggestions would be appreciated if you have any. Blessings
So I don’t have extreme fatigue, but I do feel tired after flight sometimes but usually that hits me once I get to my destination, hotel or Airbnb. For me I think sometimes it’s the stress of getting ready to fly, and getting into the airport, dealing with airport security, getting on your flight and flying and getting your baggage and just making sure you have everything together. I think that once I get to my destination, I feel a little bit tired because there’s some anxiety and stress involved.. if you’re stressed about other things in your life, that just complicates it more . that’s why I like to do things on my trip that helped me take care of myself because even though traveling can be fun it can also be stressful. I hope I answered your question, but it was long-winded. I do feel tired, but not completely exhausted. However, I do feel a little exhausted.😊
Generally, you ask the hotel and let them know what it is. You’re going to be cooking with and get permission.😊 for many small appliances, like a blender or an immersion heater or an electric hot pot for water those are permissible. For things where you’re going to be cooking eggs or anything like that you should clear that with the hotel management. These policies are put in place so that people don’t cook something really smelly that ends up smelling up the room or offends other guests nearby.
