I have tears of joy, Joy 😍😍😍 I get so excited when I get a notification that you uploaded. you are one of a few people that I have my notifications on 💖💖💖 I can't explain how happy I get when I watch your videos 😍 Love you Joy 💖💖💖💖
Ok love love your travel book!! So many fun pieces and ephemera!! Maybe I'll pull out my bags of pieces I've saved for years in hope that I'll make some dang books!! Lol! Tfs!❤
You are delightful to listen to. I love how whimsical and happy you are. I can tell you really enjoyed not only the little things about your trip but you also enjoyed making this journal. =)
LOL yes the way to present the meishi is important!! Hi Colleen! Believe it or not your series of videos on your new home are one of the factors that pushed me to finally finish this one so that I can move on to other documenting projects. Feels good :)
My Hotel was overlooking Shibuya Crossing. I loved it! I love takoyaki! It was so crowded at Hachi I took the photo of him from the walkway of the subway....Oh god Tokyo Banana; the best thing ever! ❤️❤️
OMG I think we stayed at the same hotel on my trip last year! We stayed at the Excel Tokyu in Shibuya and we got a nice view of the crossing. I chose it because it was so close to my favorite stores LOL. And yes Tokyo Banana is so yum! We tried 2 new versions - strawberry and caramel, but the original is still my favorite.
Yup that's it; shibuya excel! Love that hotel. My room over-looked a little alley. The crossing was off to the right and I could see it but I loved watching the busyness of the alley. Did you have their breakfast? It's pricey but it was fabulous. And I loved its location too. Loft, Itoya, tokyu hands, Traveler's factory, hobonichi tobichi, this great little restaurant named inakaya! ❤️ I went in October and I want to go back at least once a week.
Your videos are always soooo awesome! :) I really loved the tour of your beautiful travel journal and all the cool clips from Japan, thank you so much!!
this is stunning work n u r such an inspiration!!♥♥ would luv to visit the stationary place (it's called Loft eh) looks like paradise isn't Japan just amazing💖💖
Hi Joy ! Great travel notebook of Japan! I'm heading out to Oahu soon and hope to make my first traveler's of my little trip. Question, I noticed your instant pictures and wondered which type you recommend. Thinking of getting a printer this time since I'm having problems taking good pictures with my instax and Polaroid snap. Thanks for sharing your notebook and vid of Japan! Looks amazing! Aloha, Vicki
Hi Vicki! OMG we need to meet up :D How exciting!! Hmm.. for instant pictures, I don't really have a good recommendation. I have Poloroid Zip but I'm not in love with the quality. Sometimes they turn out amazing! Other times, pictures look a little too blue or yellow for some reason. A lot of people like that new portable one by HP, I think it's called Sprocket. I still prefer printing pictures on my regular printer. Hope this helps! And hopefully we can meet up while you are here!
Ooooo yes Joy! Coming in May, I'll let you know bombai, lol. So we can try meet up. Thanks for the info, guess I'll dive in deeper and check that sprocket one. Hope I can make one almost as nice as you made! Thanks again Joy!
Stupid question but did you put your travel together AFTER you got home? (I might have missed it when you said you made this...) Going to Disney World in June and thinking this might be a nice way to record our trip though I also have my Hobonichi... Hm. Thanks and good to see you back on RU-vid. :)
Hi :) Yes! I put it together AFTER I got home. I find that I don't really have much time to put together a book in the way I want during a trip so I just bring a notebook to write some highlights that I don't want to forget at the end of the day (while it's still fresh in my mind) and a small pouch for ephemera I want to save. Check out this channel (ru-vid.com) - she has some London Travel Journal flip throughs and I believe she did most of her travel journal on the trip itself. Hope this helps! And have fun on your trip!! Disney World is amazing.
Thank you so much for the link! I watched a few of her videos... very inspiring!! Might have to buy a few Midori books to take with me or do as you and bring a small notebook to jot thoughts and fill it in later at home into the Hobo. Thank you for the well wishes! It will be our first time at Disney World. :D
