Very helpful video! It can be so stressful to decide when to book a flight. Definitely booking my next international flight from a Tuesday to the next Wednesday!
Great video. For our last trip we waited for the 3 month mark (which we had never done before) and yep, we got a GREAT deal. Will definitely be doing that again.
I'm not a new grad but I do plan on traveling back to California at some point in the near future. And I like to save as much money as I can on expensive things such as traveling, so I found this video incredibly helpful. Thanks :)
Awesome video! Great tips! I'm thinking about traveling abroad in the next year, so it's good to know that prices will go down when it's 1-3 months out, rather than a year out. I'll have to be patient!
I think if you're travelling internationally, a lot of airlines have their early bird discounts 4-6 months prior. There were tons of early bird sales at the beginning of the year (feb) for mid year flights (july/august). Websites like zuji/travelocity are reliable and they have their own sales sometimes. Sometimes filling up your inbox with their newsletters are worthwhile..
Cool tips! I'd also suggest the best place to find tickets: Google Flights - there's no hidden fees, no booking fees, and best of all, you can see prices for a range of dates as a graph! I've used about everything else before, and google's flights is the best. Sorry, couldn't help - it's that good :)
I like to use Yapta for tracking flight prices. I visited Washington DC last Christmas and then St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands) for New Years and saved so much money on flights thanks to their website.
I used to order my tickets about a month ahead, but this time for some odd reason, I ordered too early = more expensive than what I could have paid... oh well -.- thank you for this video! very helpful! :)
I'm actually trying to buy my own plane tickets for the first time now and this was super helpful! You're awesome :) also we have the same name!! Haha :D
Yea! Good idea! Can you do a video on how to travel by yourself when you are like, under 18 years old? You might not know much about this, but if you do know, than pleaseeeeee make on! It would be so helpful!
Im planning from traveling to Montreal Quebec, Canada from Ontario California, United States for 1 week on March for Spring Break. Kayak is $427 while Priceline is $400 roundtrip. Should I take the offer now or wait?
I like the tapping on camera please don't stop it. Also I have been doing analytics on the flights in the last 10 years, my experiences the sweet spot is 6 to 8 weeks
Have you heard anything about having to clear your cookies when doing repetitive airfare searches? That the price will go up the more often you search for the same item?
Well, it’s probably very stupid thing to ask.. forgive me, if it is. I love packing videos a lot! All that toiletries, packing cubes.. oh, fill so happy watching them :) Here is something I have troubles with - how to pack on you way home!? when you have some clothes, that have been used and probably even smelly (sorry) and other clothes, that are still fresh, cause you didn't wear them, but you want to pack everything nicely. Love watching your show. Greetings from Lithuania :)
Hi Sonia here is one for you (how does one get an upgrade from economy to first, premium, or business for free on airlines ?) that's an item you could and should cover
I would add that booking flights on ryanair or easyjet needs to be booked as soon as possible. I was waiting for the 7 week period for a flight from Athens to Milan, after having seen 30 euro prices a couple months earlier, and it had raised to 77 euros by that point. :(
Why Saturday, I wonder? Seems weird to me. When I was looking for tickets for my upcoming international trip I thought that some day throughout the week would be the cheapest, but it turned out that Saturday was. So, I'm goin' on a Saturday!
Sonia - great video. What about when you're looking for lower fares on a route with no competition/?Like when only 1 airline flies direct to where you're going? Am I stuck paying ridiculously high fares?? I've set up my alerts - is that the only thing I can do?
Hi. I've never been on holiday and I don't know how to book. Can you please please do a video on that. I don't know if I should choose packages or book everything myself individually. It's really overwhelming for me. I want to book a holiday but font know where to start. Pls help! :)))
On the "International One Week Depart on a Tuesday and arrive the following Wednesday." Are literally talking about flying back home the next day, it being Wednesday? Or can you fly back on ((any)) Wednesday just as long it's a Wednesday? Thanks Sonia!
Do you have any tips for girls staying in hostels? My sister and I are traveling to Europe in a month and booked at hostels because it is the only thing we could afford, it is out first time going anywhere so far so any tips would be amazing. Please and thank you!!!!!!
What about for student studying abroad? We have to buy it in advance and could be 4 months or so in advanced? is there no way around it to save some money??
Excellent, this will come in handy for my trips to the US for when I film my vlogs (like the ones already on my channel, check em out and subscribe if you like what you see x)
