I have 5 kids 18 months to 7 years old… my best tip for beach vacations is to rent a house with private beach access! Trust me…. Not having to drive to a beach then pack up for lunch and drive back again later makes the experience soooo much better! My family has been doing every year since kid number 3… 🤩
@@unbiasly Lol 😂… My husband and I definitely make it a priority every year… we only take the one vacation so we make it count! Stay for at least 10 days… take our time getting there and back… our kids love it so much they are pretty good about the car ride because they know it’s going to be fun soon 😉
Agree! Also beach front is amazing! we did it with a four year old and a one year old. being able to walk back to your room and shower and eat was amazing
Here are some to go snack ideas if anyone is interested…buy a plastic crafts box (looks like a tackle box) with removable dividers available on Amazon or craft store. Fill with your kids fav healthy snacks & they can help themselves to it when traveling. Cuts down on complaints. Examples…crackers, marshmallows, dried fruit or nuts, sliced veggies or fruit, turkey jerky, edamame, trail mix, chips, cookies, protein bar/ balls, dried seaweed, cereal, corn nuts, hummus/ salsa/ guacamole/ bean dip or other dipping sauces, string cheese / baby bell, sugar free candy, fruit leathers, hard boiled eggs/bacon/ dried salami/ mini turkey pepperoni (not traveling too far), olives, popcorn, mini pretzels, mini protein pancakes or bite size protein waffles, baby gherkin pickles, etc.😀
PLEASE. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD... do a makeup tutorial on this look. You look so effortlessly beautiful in this video, I MUST know your secret. As a new, first-time mama, inquiring minds would like to look like you! ;)
Thanks for sharing! Does anyone have tips for traveling by car to Big Bear, Ca. with 3.5 yr & 15 month old? We live in So Cal but it will be our first outdoorsy trip with kids staying at a hotel. Here are my tips …antibacterial wipes/ spray to wipe down airplane seats, wrap any cheap toy/book/games for the flights or car rides as incentive for positive behavior, silly string as hotel room activity just make kids clean it up when done or bubble wands, deck of cards/dice/activity books/stickers/magnets/washable markers/pencils/finger puppets in a ziplock bag “busy bag”, fav books & games, headphones with fav music, book flights/ drive during their nap or bed times, extra trash bags in case of vomit during flight/ car ride, extra medicine/ vitamins/ first aide, update passports/ ID/ Visas, plug in portable car vacuum to clean on the go (at rest stops/ gas stations), extra external batteries & wires for all devices, swim lessons (6 months & above) for kids prior to trip and bring floaties, sunscreen/ hats/ sunglasses, snacks for flight/ car ride and hotel room to cut down on expenses & whining, etc.🙂
Taking note because my husband and I hope to have children someday. However…. We aren’t looking forward to the logistics of travel while having kiddos attached. Haha
As a new mom, I must say everything to do with kids is much easier in my experience than what people say. For my husband and I, having our daughter along for all our adventures has only made it more fun and complete. 🥰
It definitely takes some extra planning but I agree with poster below, much easier than people say! I just traveled to Europe alone with my one year old and it was fine!
Ahhh Susan thanks for doing this video! I love all your tips on traveling with kids. That micro luggage looks amazing! I also love the Melissa and Doug stickers but I hate that the backgrounds are soooo huge, they barely fit into bags!
This was so helpful!!! My kids are just a little younger than yours but we have the same pair. 3 year old boy, 1 year old girl. We want to visit our family in Puerto Rico soon but have been super stressed about how to handle the plane & airport.. definitely getting most of the stuff you linked once we are ready. Those suitcases are genius!!
Your kids are sooo cute! Thanks for the tips! As a soon to be FTM I really appreciate your videos! I like how you are very careful with all the naughty things but also have space for ipads and candy! You are cool 😁
The link for your lipstick isn't coming up for me :( I know its been 2 years but can you tell me what lipstick and gloss you have on? It's beautiful on you!
I looooved your first travel witj a toddler video when it was you and Nikash going to Asia. And this video was right on time as things are opening up and people are (considering)traveling again. That toddler micro suitcase is GeNiuS!!!! Omg! I’m going to put that on my son’s bday/xmas gift list!
i travelled with a newborn and a three year old, believe it or not the newborn is easy because they drink milk and sleep most of the time, the toddler make sure you take all the fav snacks and tablet if they are old enough. and just roll with it. when the neeborn gets older it gets harder😂
I wish there was a toddler doona lol we only got to use it for a little under a yr...i know my daughter is big for age so i was ok with that but i definitely miss it ! 😭 Lol
Great tips, thanks for sharing. I have a 2 and 7 year old and now we get a room with two queens and they sleep together and my husband and I get to sleep together. And they are so excited to sleep together. Also, I definitely agree about celebrating being able to go out now!!
This is super helpful! I have a one year old and our last trip was crazy. I was NOT prepared for a vacation being so much extra work and not really relaxing any more. This gives me hope that when my little one is older it gets a little better.
Thank you for the tips! I just came back from a two week vacation. Moving to a few different cities. A lot of driving and stress. These are lovely tips and I might look for a family friendly resort for my two boys for next year.
Just found your channel because of the Golden milk drink for toddlers. My toddler has a cold and I’m so excited to try out the drink with hopes she’ll recover quickly!
I'm not sure why but I'm wondering if Yara is your last name I've never heard of Yara last name only a first name. It's very pretty. I'm 8 months pregnant with my first baby
Do you have any tips/footage from your pre-COVID trip? We will be flying across the country with a 3 year old and newborn next month so would appreciate any advice! BTW, your past toddler travel video was so helpful when we went to Thailand with our baby! Thank you for helping other parents out!
Hi I am glad for this video we are traveling for the first time I have questions lysol is allow how much baby food /pouches I have a 10 month old not a long flight but we need food since we won't have a car everything we will do is walk distance
Susan ❤️ I have a 2 year old and 1 year old and Ireland is now getting some sun to get some time in the paddling pool, did you use swim nappies and if so were they disposable or reusable? Not sure which road to go down x
I do wipe the seats, windows, and the pockets on the planes! So far we’ve been handed antibacterial wipes when we walk onto the plane since the pandemic started, but we also carry them with us. I have no idea how much it really helps, but for me it’s partially mental and eases my mind.
You can bring your own food and snacks from home onto the plane, it’s just the drinks that need to be purchased from the airport that are only allowed on the plane from my experience last time I traveled by plane in 2019
We weren’t worried about it but it also wasn’t a big deal when we went. The trip was almost 6 weeks ago, so it’s only now starting to be an issue in California.
