Welcome to Trier, Germany! We visited this ancient city and had a great time walking among the ruins of the Roman Empire. Trier is a small city now, but at one point nearly 100,000 Roman Citizens lived here. In fact, this city was actually the capital of the Roman Empire during the reign of Constantine. Rome’s impact on this city is very clear, and if you are a history buff or fan of ancient architecture, this is a place you need to visit.
We loved traveling here and hope that you enjoy the video!

The little "Christmas man" in the traffic lights is actually Karl Marx, co-founder of communism, born in Trier 😅

Good video. Another Roman town was located close to Xanten, I can recommend visiting it and eat some of the Roman food. A villa rustica (manor house) can be visited in Ahrweiler, but I don't know how much it is still affected by the floodings from a few years ago. Ahrweiler also has its old town wall. Far older are the megalithic tombs in Northern Germany, I have visited the Visbeker Bräutigam with several other tombs nearby and the Heidenopfertisch also not far away.

Studied there. I like the city itself, which is quite beautiful!
