Ahhhh my first real travel vlog in A VERY VERY LONG TIME! I hadn't been on a plane for almost a year and def hadn't been to an EVENT like this in probably 2 years! I went to the Calgary Stampede with some girlfriends and had suchhhh a fun time!

So this made me cry sooo bad when the fireworks were going off behind you and that beautiful smile you had. I was happy crying because this is the first video in over a year and a half that the world looks almost normal. I really didnt think that day would happen. So happy you had an amazing trip. Thanks for brightening up my life. I have been so depressed lately and you are my only escape from all the stress in my life. Thanks again keep smiling

props to Tara for vlogging this, not the easiest I’m guessing especially on the rides!! Those same rides come to Vancouver island for the Luxton fair I use to go to as a kid! I can’t believe she did the bumper cars, ah this video makes me miss normal life!!! I can’t believe it’s slowly going back to the way it was

I was actually in Calgary a few days before you and totally agree with everything thing you said about the end of mask mandations! it was super weird walking around and just living life like normal, crazy how it now feels wrong almost!

Honestly this whole vlog made me a little teary eyed…. And slightly a little jealous. To finally see parts of Canada getting back to normal. People of ontario - we will get there! Tara you inspire me to strive for my goals and never settle. Since watching your vlogs and seeing all you’ve accomplished at a young age, it’s pushed me to find the things I love and push for success. When I’ve felt like a failure and like I wasn’t getting anywhere, I look to you and your vlogs. You and I are the same age so it’s inspiring to me to see what you have done and all you’ve accomplished and it helps me see that is it in fact possible for me

So glad you had an awesome weekend! I'm fully vaccinated, but still wear a mask when I'm out and about, though it's no longer required if you've been fully vaccinated where I live. It is all about each individuals comfort level.

You are not alone. 90% of the people in my area are still wearing masks inside stores (myself included) even though we have a high vaccination rate and don't need to if we are fully vaccinated. Some of my friends and relatives are still wearing masks inside their offices even though they are one of the only ones to do so. Like you said it is about everyone's personal comfort level. I also am scared to lower my guard because numbers are going up fast and it seems inevitable that more and more counties require masks again.

Same here. I’m actually in Calgary and I still wear a mask even though I’m fully vaccinated. I have kids who aren’t old enough to be and so I wear it for them

I went to my office for the first time in 495 days this week. I was sitting at the stoplight, waiting to turn onto campus/the parking garage and I almost started crying. I don't know if it was because I was running on 3 hours of sleep or if I was just overwhelmed by the fact that things are starting to get back to some sort of normalcy or if it was a combination of both? But it hit me hard.

Calgary Stampede looks like what we have in Houston Texas. During March we have the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for a week to maybe 2 week. Concerts, food, shopping, drinking, rodeos, drinking more food..🤣

I was thinking the same things not that it's just Houston because all the states have the live stock and rodeo or Fair's. Although we get famous singers at our rodeos we sure the heck don't get to have all the cool entertainment like they had. All we get is our awesome cowboys and cowgirls before the shows. But really cool to see all the Houstonians fans on here!!

We have all been through so much which includes a lot of stress and worry about those we love so I fully understand your tears and feelings of being over whelmed by it all. I had to go on a big shopping spree to several different large stores last week and by the time I got home I was wiped out just from being around large groups of people. The Stampede looked amazing and it's good to see you out there and having some fun with your life. You are too young to be locked down for very long. Love ya!

I lived in Calgary for a year and did the whole Stampede thing. I worked in an office downtown and during Stampede companies put on free breakfasts and lunches and everyone wore their boots and hats at the office....it was a fun experiance! Met some good people who I still connect with on FB.

yeah i went to a water park/amusement park the other day and although it wasn’t that busy because it was a wednesday, it was definitely busy and a “back to normal” vibe.
