After landing at Thiruvananthapuram Domestic airport Taj green cove Kovalam is a 30 minutes drive.
TAJ properties are known for their hospitality but this property takes it to the next level. Hospitality provided by all staff members, right from the security guard at the main entrance to the facility manager, was unparalleled. Everyone greets you with a genuine smile and with so much warmth.
The food spread at Jasmine Bay (all meals) was quite sumptuous. Bait restaurant is the perfect place for the high tea, making the evening a pleasurable experience. Sipping Kerela Filter Coffee, with fritters, cookies etc, while looking at the sunset and waves makes the evening special.
There is Lots of space to wander around the very aesthetically designed (Balinese-style) property. The sea-side area has a 0.5 km walking track (between the sea and the backwater lagoon) and is wonderfully open and relaxing. There is an option boat ride within the premises of the resort. Infinity pool overlooking the sea is beautiful and well maintained.
Things to explore around
1.The LIGHT HOUSE BEACH is a 5 minute drive. It’s an amazing place to stroll with a number of restaurants and local markets. Do visit the German Bakery.
2. You can plan a day tour to the POOVAR BACKWATERS which is a 30 minutes drive.
3.Do try MOTHERS VEG PLAZA ( known for kerela thali) and VILLA MAYA (best known for sea food) restaurants which are located in the city, about 25-30 minutes from the hotel. Also for shopping POTHYS is your one stop shop.
Overall It's an amazing beach resort for kids and families.
