میں صرف 7 دن پہلے کربلا سے آیا ہوں، سچ ھے کہ وہاں حرم امام حسین، حرم حضرت عباس، حرم مولا علی، کاظمین اور سامرا میں مقامی سنی عوام کو بھی بے دھڑک نماز پڑھتے دیکھا، میرے ساتھ 2 سنی پاکستانی دوست تھے اور کوئی شخص ان سے تعرض نہیں کر رھا تھا۔ صفائی اتنی تھی کہ جہاں دل چاھے بلا جھجھک بیٹھ جاؤ، بازار میں "منی ایکسچینجرز" دوکان کھلی چھوڑ کر نماز پڑھنے چلا جاتا ھے اور کوئی آنکھ اٹھا کر نہیں دیکھتا، غربت ھے مگر بے غیرتی نہیں۔ جنید آپکو اس وسیع القلبی اور سچ گوئی پر سلام۔

Thank you for clearing up the misconception of only Shias visiting Iraq\Iran. I am a Sunni and my chilhood trip to Najaf and Karbala is one of the most memorable ones! I still remember the Iraqi kahwa with honey and dry fruits in it!

Didn't the shaheeds of Badr, Uhud sacrifice for the sake of Islam? How did the prophet (pbuh) mourn for these shaheeds? We shias, sunnis have one thing in common: we believe that prophet Muhammad(pbuh) was the final messenger..so lets follow his way.. He(pbuh) mourned for the shaheeds of Badr, Uhud but not in way that you folks do..

What's happening to your community is so sad I'm Pakistani and sometimes I come across in the news that the the Pakistani hazara community in balochistan are getting killed just because they are Shia. This needs to stop and is a huge problem however in other provinces like azad Kashmir Punjab sindh kpk the Shia and Sunnis are living in harmony and do not hate each other I pray that this injustice stops for your people.

I'm a Sunni Muslim & Ive never been taught about Karbala.Where can I learn about Karbala? Is there a good lecture/book you'd reccommend that's historically sound and easy to understand?
There have been several books by Sunni Scholars discussing the details about the whole incident of Karbala. I won't be able to name any specific books thou because i am not qualified to do that. But ive read and heard in bayaans. But this is something atleast this generation should realise and preach to the upcoming generation.

Agar Karbala na hota tou Yazid's practices would have been a part of Islam now. Yazid was drunkard, gambler, womanizer and so on. And he wanted all this to be a part of Islam. Tragedy of Karbala was not for just one group, it was a lesson for every human. May Allah bless you for visiting the graves of my forefathers. Its my request to every human that please at least once visit the graves of Ahl ul bait you will learn a lot of things which weren't taught to you.
