You can have fun changing them out so that they get use. I do have a lot of TNs, but I have endless uses for notebooks so nearly all of them are in use. I guess it depends how much of an analogue person you are, I’ve never taken to digital recording…it has its uses but I don’t enjoy the look of digital diaries and I never consult them. The feel of pen and paper especially in a leather cover is always enticing to me. There’s so many ways of using your spare notebooks…one could be favourite recipes…a book each for starters, mains and desserts. Do you have hobbies? What about a pet healthcare TN for each of your furbabies? Even if you just use them to keep beautiful photos so you have a record of memories to flip through….x

I’m in the same boat with several leather makers. But I have to say seeing them on my shelf, desk or stored away makes me smile and brings me joy everyday. Love your collection especially the patina’d brown one.
First time watching your video only because I am on a TN obsession right now and this video is just adding more fuel to the small TN campfire I have going at the moment. A few giggles from me listening to your chatter and trying to justify your TN purchases (that's my habit every single time I buy washi). I live in New Zealand and we have only 1 stockist which is in the same city as me and they were selling the TN sets and refills waaaaaaaaay outside my budget (which in hindsight is a good thing) and so I am living my TN/journaling life through other TN addicts on You Tube. It started with the Midori Traveler's Notebooks and my collection grew from there. Of all the TN's in my collection my favorites are the Midori's. I do not feel bad about these purchases because this is my hobby and passion. I also plan to start selling some of my collection as this to be is part of collecting and enjoying these leather notebooks. Selling and trading with others is a part of my enjoyment. I do have uses for some of my notebooks to house some of my journals permanently. You may find uses you have not thought of yet as you set up these notebooks and i rotate mine thru out the year to enjoy my leather covers. I have wanted the Starbucks TN for a long time and thanks to your video I decided to purchase that TN. It is my only special Midori as i gave as gifts my blue, carmel and olive. I kept my original Midori and passport in Brown. I decided to go for the blue in the Starbuck addition as that is my favorite color. Thanks for sharing. You have a nice collection.
I definitely understand how you feel but at the same time I think you totally deserve to indulge yourself once in a while - I think maybe we all do if we have the means for it :) I really enjoyed this video and I’d love to see more of these gorgeous TNs!!

I definitely have felt the guilt of purchasing something 'too nice' or 'too expensive' to actually use! I've decided to stop purchasing things that make me feel that way recently, and just admire the beauty of an item from afar if possible. But typically, if I have 1. saved enough of my spending money BEFORE the purchase, and 2. researched and waited long enough to be sure I want it, then I will pull the trigger on something nice every once in a while. Less guilt that way 😉. Enjoy your Kyoto and others! I will live vicariously through you this time.
@@justusspace sorry for the late reply, but yes! If I have been very very intentional with my purchase decisions, then I definitely use my stuff. I invested a lot of thought into the item and so it becomes a long term commitment! Feeling regret is the worst, so I do everything I can to avoid that 😉
That Kyoto notebook... 😭💙 So gorgeous! I get that guilty feeling. At the same time -- you love them! I got a couple of covers from Hobonichi last year that I do NOT love, and damn, the regrets...
@@justusspace Hahah, awesome! They're still living with me... I find it really overwhelming & complicated to sell stuff, so it's a future goal of mine to figure out how to do that, and have a bit of a de-stash :)
So that you don’t feel guilty (or at least what I have done) is try to find uses for the other notebooks. Some examples I came up with is using one notebook for books I read and writing summaries/quotes/ things I learned/ rating system. Another one I used is for religion/ spirituality. Another one is used for taking notes in from audible courses. I saw some people use each notebook for their college classes. I wish I was into travelers notebooks then, because I like the idea of having a whole semesters worth of material in one small notebook that you can go back to. Instead I have huge binders that take up space so I ended up just throwing away. But I really liked the idea of taking a class and having notes all in one conveneient place so I just take audible courses from the Great courses series. Hope this helps you feel less guilty if you find uses for them. Oh I know some people that have kids have a notebook dedicated to each child.
These are great ideas!! Im also drfinitely upset that I didnt think about the class idea, because thatd be way more convenient than the stack of Leuchtturms I had to lug around all disorganized and such😂 I think I’ll do that!! Maybe I’ll sit down and brainstorm uses 🤩
You are being wayyyyyy too tough on yourself! Life is short, and while it is good to be mindful of our use of items, there ain’t no shame in indulging a bit here and there ☺️ through the years these items will hold your stories and inspire you. Without even being conscious of it, you will imbue them with your energy and feel that every time you hold them!
I just bought from travelers company as an early birthday gift to myself and felt guilty about using my stimulus check for it so this video was just what i needed 😭

@@gurogirl1151 omg! Im happy then! I was apart of the anime community LONG before I ever got into journaling! I started with my stationary hobby with old Mark Crilley and oceaninspace (when her youtube was oshaikeuchi) drawing videos when I was like elementary/middle school age. Those “how to draw manga” videos were a bastardization for sure 😂
