Cherokee Valley is very nice. It is about 20 minutes to Travelers Rest and Taylors or Greer and about 40 minutes to downtown Greenville or Spartanburg. It is also not far to Hendersonville NC, 30 minutes. It is closer to our mountains and has a lot of great amenities. There are various levels of HOAs and a separate fee for golf. It is near North GREENVILLE University. It is not really close to a lot of businesses or shopping, but there are a lot a nice views especially from The Summit. Hopefully that helped. Thanks for supporting my channel.
I’m ready to move it was a little quieter when I moved here 7 years ago, now it’s chaos just driving to Walmart 😂. Yep I can’t do this anymore , no more Greenville county it’s too packed.
Hopefully, as the cities around Greenville develop their own downtown areas there will be fewer people who feel compelled to make their way into Greenville. Pretty much no one wants traffic and congestion and noise, but of course, the developers and those in the construction industries love the overdevelopment and want everyone in the USA to migrate to the Upstate region.
@@sherryhayshome no im trying to find what the plan for travelers rest future is. We are considering relocating and i find some information about spartanburg and know greer did some updates and greenville is developing a lot but i wonder how travelers rest is doing and keeps developing things. Thanks so much
You might contact or look up Travelers Rest City online or #travelersresthere to find out more about the city plans. I know they are building apartments near the downtown area and the small town is growing. I hope that helps. I don’t have specific knowledge of development plans for the downtown area. I do know of a few subdivision planned in that area.
Noah, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I hear comments like this from time to time from both locals and transplants that would like to keep this area to themselves. It is not going to stop anyone from choosing to relocate, so I think a better approach would be to say think about what is drawing you to this area, and try to help preserve the feeling of small town and community. Have a great day!
@@michaelferrer6817 Michael, thanks for watching. If you need help finding a home here let us know. My feeling is that there is a huge migration of people moving to the Southeast for various reasons. We just helped a couple moving out of Miami and they said there is a huge influx of people coming from California and NY.
More and more people will continue to move to the Greenville area until the area is no longer nice anymore. It will become congested, dirty, dangerous, loud, obnoxious, and super expensive And then once the area is overpopulated and miserable the area will go through a period of decline, as another "up and coming" city begins the same cycle. However, in the meantime realtors, developers, homebuilders, and the city government will rake in the cash, and make hay while the sun shines, and that's what it is really all about. Within 10 years, Greenville will be just another shining star that burned out due to greed. And then the realtors and developers will move on to another shining star, and on and on it goes. It's sad.
Hello, Paula. Thank you for watching. SC is not requiring vaccination passport. Masks are encouraged in some locations, and required in others like hospitals. There are some concert venues requiring either vaccination or a negative test. I hope that helps.
Hey Mark. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. People are really interested in South Carolina. It is a beautiful place to live. Are you local to the area?
I grew up in tr , bck before all these restaurants came in , downtown so little , you blink your eye you'll miss it . I don't like all the new things and all the building going on , traffic so bad on main Street, I dodge going to tr no more than I have too , and is why I moved up too river falls south carolina , not populated like travelers rest , but ask the people about the neighbor they call the ridge , a lot of things about tr thier not telling you
Thanks for watching Terry. Everyone has their own level of comfort in the size of town or city they live in. I am glad you found your ideal place in River Falls. Travelers Rest is still a beautiful little town and definitely a smaller town compared to Greenville and other large cities like Atlanta, Charleston, and Charlotte.
