Hi, can you tell me more about your Charlotte-Chicago flight rescheduling? Did you book your tickets through booking site or directly from Quatar? As far as I know, Quatar does not have Charlotte to Chicago flight, they will have a codeshare with partner airline in US. Was your Charlotte-Chicago flight originally AA or something else? Who changed your Charlotte-Chicago flight, was it Quatar or AA? And was your original connection time in Chicago 2 hours or different? I am asking because I have an upcoming travel to India, and I also have visa stamping appointment 1-2 days after I reach India. I cannot afford a delayed flight by 1 day and want to avoid getting in this situation. So, your inputs would help.
Hi Amit we booked our flight from Qatar website directly. When we booked the flight , they had a qatar flight from charlotte to Chicago but later an evening before the flight date we received an email saying .. we will have to board AA flight till Chicago…. so they(Qatar) changed to AA. Initially there was 3 hours of layover in chicago for connecting flight which later reduced to 2 Hrs as per new email details … 2 hr is really tight window as if there is any sort of other delays, you will miss your flight.With our experience I would suggest to keep at least 3 hr window for connecting flight… Hope this helps and best wishes for your upcoming travel 😊
I am a resident of Qatar for 25 yrs who also has a USA Green card . I feel your assessment of the situation is wrong. American airlines is the one which landed you in difficult situation. Qatar airlines should not partner with American airlines . I feel American airlines have staffing issues and they are always late. I have travelled for many yrs with Qatar airlines and I have never had any issues. Though I will say the staff of Qatar airways at Dallas airport is super slow and very disappointing. I had v tough time with them during covid. You conveniently did not show Qatar airport which is the cleanest and most beautiful airport.
Hello Renu, I will be taking a similar route to delhi. I will be traveling from Toronto to Chicago( American Airlines) Chicago to Doha (Qatar Airlines) and Doha to Delhi(Indigo Airlines). The whole trip is booked via Qatar Airlines. Do you have any tips? I have a similar layover. 2 hours
Hi .. i regret responsible late but i was busy birthing 😅😇 and hopefully i am responding before your travel 🫣 so here’s what i will suggest - 2 hour of layover would be bit tight .Please make sure to reach out to the staff for direction help immediately after landing in chicago for way to international terminal as it takes around 15-20 mins to reach as you might have to go out & take an airport shuttle for terminal shuttle or train (thats what happened in our case) 2. In case if any flight delay happens at Toronto airport ..please reach out to American airlines staff in advance to seek information about if they have informed Qatar about their delays or not so that your next flight at doha is in line with your american airline delays .. recommending this because American Airlines usually runs operations with staff shortages and delays are normal with American Airlines .. so pls keep it mind .. just in case if needed. Mostly I wish your journey goes smooth and hassle free 😊 wish you safe travel .. Happy journey
Unfortunately, maybe u just happened to have unlucky day. Air India is already worst. I took twice. No more air india. Banned for me. Can't imagine Qatar Airlines. Wth. 😢😢. Hope you get the help you hope for. I don't understand ur languange and there is no subtitle so guess ur flight being canceled?
Yaa you can say that may be it was a bad day … no the flight wasn’t canceled. Its just we booked qatar from US to India via doha… but a day before travel we got an email from qatar that our flight will be American airlines from the boarding airport (Charlotte to Chicago) and from Chicago we l get qatar till doha & India .. we were Okay with this but on travel day .. American airline kept delaying .. and they kept informing us that they have kept qatar in loop about the delays … so we dont need to worry … but when we reached Chicago airport to board qatar flight .. they had already left and they said they were not informed about delays ( they left about 20 travelers who were traveling with us jn our american airlines aircraft & were supposed to board qatar .. the same flight from chicago … now qatar wasn’t owning it .. so that what exactly happened… but they booked us for next night flight after so much of hassle and asked us to go to american airlines for stay arrangements & food … at the end our travel was delayed by one day .. thats the whole thing
I like in whole vedio that fellow traveller's accent and Mike was so handsome the American Airlines representative & hotel was to good, hayatt regency ko dekh ke dubai ka feel ah raha tha kyu ki mere ghar ke pass hayatt regency ha yaha abhi inn ke hotels world wide thee yeah nahi pata tha or maybe in both countries just a similar name or yeah jo flight delay ka experience app ne face kiya voh mane bee kiya thaa, the very frist time jab main India se dubai ja raha tha, long story but as adventures as yours.
