I am hoping my family and I travel to a tropical island so I can take pictures. I bought a whole bunch of film because I was scared I would run out. Guess who’s broke 🙋🏾♀️. Anyways, this video is pretty helpful, thanks!
Hey! So just to get this straight: I can have the film inside my camera while it is being scanned, no damage will happen to the camera or film, and I can take extra film. Question: Can you take a little book that has the developed pictures in them?
what if the film is inside the camera? And also im going to go to 3 countries andd I DO NOT want to get my film ruined and it's going to be going through lots of x rays, which I do not want. And if I get it handchecked I am scared because I have social anxiety and I will get really nervous..
In my country, both carry on and luggage must go through x rays (the same one) i am highly afraid that it will get damaged or taken away, what should i do
This makes so much more sense now, my Fuji film camera got so damaged on vacation when it was in my checked luggage. I didn't know the x Ray's were so rough for that luggage :((( Its a good thing a watched this video so it doesn't happen again😉😉😂
Thank you you answer all my questions that I had it and I was confused I wanted to take it to El Salvador but I wasn't sure if it was going to get messed up on the carry on X-rays and you answer all of my questions thank you I'm not going this year i I'm going next year after Coronavirus
So have you travelled with undeveloped films, and had them go through x-rays to nothing happening? or did you travel with developed films only? i'm going abroad in a week and purchased 5 films and naturally, they're undeveloped therefore i'm worried that they're all going to be damaged and wasted :s
I’ve travelled numerous times with film. They’re either already developed, undeveloped in the box, or undeveloped in the camera and I’ve never had an issue. You can always ask TSA to hand check if you want to be extra careful!
the photo itsself will develop a bit slower, but the film will stay okay, as long as youre not out there, shooting at the northpole, lol. However fuji says, that the best temperature to shoot will be between 5 and 40°C :)
I bought the Instax mini 9 yesterday and I am hoping that in the holidays we go to the beach or something cause I want to take lots of pictures but as she said in the vid I will keep it in a cool place btw I have to wait until Christmas cause it was suppose to be my gift for Xmas so I have to wait so sad
I am going to USA with my new camera. I was pretty excited to go with it but I am really scared that the security system at airport and x rays might damage it. I wanted to take 3 undeveloped packages with me, I read it was better to take them out and put them in a transparent plastic bag but I am scared they would put a finger on them or sunlight damage them. IDK I am really scared
I have question... ever since 2019 ended new scanners are being installed (x-ray machines) will my film be damage when its inside the camera and in the package? And if so what can I do to prevent it from happening??
You all can actually buy an Instax photobook (I call them by that instead of photo album) at a store in your town/city at an Electronic aisle. Even loads of colorful Instax design films. I have "Mermaid Tail, Candy Pop, Macaron, Rainbow, and Confetti" ones ready for my vacation with an Instax photobook that holds 108 pictures! XD
If my film is in the camera can I still ask them to hand check the camera? I know this is late but I am going to somewhere tropical and i really wanna take Polaroids
yeah for sure, usually I try not to have nothing inside but that doesn’t work out all the time so I’ll have film inside and they can still check the camera. hope this helps!
Hey if like I don’t wanna bring the film and buy it at the country I’m visiting ,can I put my camera in checked in bag or will it damage the camera, I’m confused cause as you said films will be damage so if I bring teh camera in my checked I’m luggage ,will there be damage or no?
checked luggage and carry on luggage are different. checked luggage is a suitcase with your clothes and stuff but carry on luggage is like your handbag that you take on the plane with you. Put it in carry on luggage as it uses weaker x rays than checked luggage.
