It’s nice very that your whole family. ( Husband, Mom and yourself). all love guienua pigs so much. Sometimes only one member of the family does and the rest just except them. Not so with you. One of my guinea pigs hates car rides, and the other one loves cuddling up against my chest and looking out the window. It’s kinda difficult to comfort one guinea pig and make sure the other one doesn’t freak out from not being able to look out the window at the same time

My pigs travel via laundry basket. Well, 2 of them have. We have been a 4 pig family for a week now. Max and Fluffy moved from Arkansas to Florida almost a month ago, hanging out in the basket in the front seat, sharing space with one of the cats (her crate was balanced on top, no one was squished). The new boys travelled for a couple hours in a cardboard box. We have celery and carrots always in the fridge, currently there is also cabbage. The freezer is my secret (the joys of American appliances), with peas, corn, broccoli and mixed veggies. They eat well. They get snack bought while driving like everyone else (grapes, melon, strawberries).

we have a small 1-2 pig carrier if we needed it but we actually created a 2x1 C&C crate for vet visits which we throw a blanket over during travel

I made my triangle on rollerblade double tiered travelcage stuffed with all sorts of grasses Had to get a healthcertificate and approval of healthministry Cnorple,Puzzle and Nippies and Whiteman came safe to Holland just before Chrismas Cage was on wrong end upon arrival, but was still convenient for 4 guineas full of nice noise !!

You went to Australia? That's where we live! :D we're getting our first guinea pigs this week. We bought an 8 week old from a pet store, and we're getting a 2.5 year old rescue, as his mate died and they're not getting anymore. So he's free, and we get all his stuff with him. So I'm so excited. :)
