At one of my first drift events, a friend of mine lost a fuel pump in competition and a competitor lent him a fuel pump from his toolbox. My friend won the battle between himself and the person who lent in the fuel pump. It is something that I love about the drifting community, For the most part someone would rather lose in battle than over a mechanical problem or technicality. For the most part ,Very good group of people 🙂
One thing I’ve learned as a motor enthusiast is you pay it forward always. It cost nothing to lend a hand, tools, or parts and through the car universe you will get rewarded one day for being a decent person
The respect for the sport of drifting is why to me no other sports compare. It’s all about the drift. Even more than the competition between each other. We just want Drift to win. 😊
Their friendship is really inspiring and that's what makes me love this sport so much. The thing about professional drifting is that these guys become some real beasts behind the wheel of their machines but as soon as their step out of their cars they're like the most kind, humble and empathetic people I've ever seen on any motorsport discipline.
Drifting has probably the least toxic community I've ever witnessed. Sure, the fans may sometimes bicker about the country with the *best* "[insert noun]" & sometimes questionable judging, but that's the extent of it. At the end of the day, all we want is to see is our sport flourishing! I think there should be a little part of the live streams which, instead of 50 ads, we see the briefing of what the drivers should and shouldn't be doing in the lead/chase. What we usually see on stream is not enough information, it's overtly simplified to the point of not even being useful; it's more like they're stating the obvious, rather than the little details that effect the battles greatly.
Many critical thinkers in the comments lmao in every racing discipline you'll find good dudes like this. And bad ones. In fact it's like this everywhere lol
