Definitely scary. Social behavior’s are very strange sometimes. It’s actually insane to think how easy it is for a mob to form and turn against someone. There will be many people that go along with everyone just because they don’t want to be excluded or looked at in that light.
Travis legit encouraged people to come and overcrowd the stadium, which is 100% his fault. If he hadn’t encouraged more people to come than tickets sold, this may not have ever happened. No one is “expecting” anyone to be a “god” or perfect. What we expect is that he wouldn’t endanger the lives of his fans to have a bigger crowd. There’s a reason why venues have a limit on the amount of people allowed in the arena, and he should be held accountable, because this is his job. This is his wheelhouse. Look at any crowd surge recorded. People ten feet back don’t realize that there’s an issue up ahead, and they may keep pushing. People who don’t *want* to be in the crowd get sucked into surges, because they are pulled by others moving around them. It’s not people “acting wild,” and to call it such shows how little you really understand about the nature of a crowd surge. (which is different from a stampede, fyi.)
Travis definitely had faults in this, but the crowd also is at fault for how they were acting . It’s crazy how people can act like animals just to see one person perform

Getting crushed to death by crowds is actually not as uncommon as you may think. Remember that for next time you're in a crowded area. Figure out your exit plans and more importantly, make sure you position yourself in such a way where you can exit if the worst should happen.

Yes. It was tragic. At the Astroworld festival, other artists were playing and there were two stages. But at 9pm Travis took the stage as the only performer at that time and everyone from the other stage rushed to the main stage and panic ensued, people were crushed to death in the crowd and Travis continued playing for 30minutes while people were dying.

I don’t think Travis could’ve heard them over the ear pieces, crowd cheering, and him singing. Not to mention there were a lot of lights so the ambulance lights could’ve blended right in

I actually feel like a lot more of the crazy metal influenced concerts like even rap shows are alot better. Crowd looks out for eachother and also knows how to properly do a mosh pit. If u fall somebody is going to notice and pick u up, I've seen a circle pit stop for someone to pick up their glasses. Also artists are alot more engaged with their crowd, creating movement, but also paying attention making sure everybody is fine. I also like a good rave, everybody is chill at those usually. Tho I don't know what else to expect from a travis scott concert, a bunch of ignorant fucked up ppl crushing eachother. It looks like the event was set up a little bit differently than like a indoor venue designed to handle a specific amount of people that runs fine every weekend or more.
