So, ok, hear me out on this. We can all agree he's in a coma and the rest after that is all a dream. Now all this is a metaphor. The chick represents the saviour. At 10:00 you can see how she's angelic, that looks kinda like a (catholic) church. She, from the beginning, tries to get him out of his trap. The trap is his self-harming character, careless. It's like he tries to escape his misery through self-harm, but it doesn't work. Same when he's in a coma, he just tries to suicide, but he can't. In the coma he envisions himself as a little kid, stripped from his innocence (the teddy bear), and as an old man (playing the piano like travis at the beginning), without any real will to live, music is just a pause from all the tragedy. Time is still not moving, he's stuck in the present of his own mind. Every image represents things exactly as they were when he died. The dead girl with the white linen on her like a corpse, the "robots" are ppl in a coma like him. The interviews are only in his mind, f.e. the homeless guy couldn't have seen the accident, and everyone is talking about him in various ways. He doesn't have any future or past, just the present, living in his mind only. Trapped in his own mind. And in reality nothing really changed, that's the whole point. Death is not freedom. He was living just as he was dead. Trapped in his tragic present. The voices around him (the girl) are not enough. And a lot of people can relate to this on various levels. And the poem at 8:00 seems like a speech addressed to those people.

I was looking for a comment explaining the vid but I aint find nothing so i'mma just try my own hand at it. The video is showing how Travis's actions and continued ignorance led him down a road of destruction. From the conflict in the beginning, to getting rid of a girl who cared about him, to looking out for people who just wanted to use him, and finally ending with him being so caught up in his "carefree" judgement that he gets blindsided by a car who was in the wrong place at the wrong time just like him. This leads to him in the hospital where he's talking to himself from an outer body perspective realizing that his actions really did matter and the consequences weren't something he could run from. The rest of the video looks its just Travis's version of his afterlife and unresolved subconscious traumas. ect.. hence why its so trippy. All in all, Trav on his way to an oscar.

Imagine a GTA with travis scott, his life and all his rapper career, obviously adding some gangster stuff and crimes. Like san andreas but hella more dark. It would be epic.

This is pure fucking genius. When he kicked the girl out of the car and started mumbling the verse to "the end". It foreshadows that he will get in a car accident or be in a predicament because he is reckless and or unaware of his actions. Hence, "2020 but I don't see nobody. One eye open illuminati. This might be the verse that make em drop me." Nobody dropped him besides himself due to his recklessness and arrogance. And little decisions like this can have either have grave consequences or great reward. What is quite funny is that he has 20/20 vision but still can't see everything (This is a paradox). Like the tales of Oedipus Rex, we are all blind to a certain degree. "That one eye open illuminati" can be referred to God or perhaps an almighty force that knows everything: the past, present, and future. Travis, however, is the bird in his own cage (his reality) because he does not realize the power of cause and effect and therefore he faces the consequences of the butterfly effect. Now on to another interpretation: we could have taken what he said about the verse in "the ends" when he says, ("2020 but I don't see nobody. One eye open illuminati. This might be the verse that make em drop me." ) literally. Where the illuminati or a secret organization is out to silence him and he is aware of this. There he is also a bird who is trapped (trapped by the threat of being killed). The second part of the video depicts a that their is constant control and censorship. You don't really have the power, the higher authority does. FOR EXAMPLE, the black kid that has the gun pointed at the bear (The boy has the authority over the bear). Also we can see the black cop yelling at travis, the cop is the authority. And the girl he kicks out in the beginning is dressed up on the balcony calling Travis who at this point is a robot. And finally, most beautifully, the girl who is sitting there naked is cover in a white sheet. THIS SYMBOLIZES that if one does not listen to authority, they will be punished and or silenced! Hence is why her naked boy was covered up. And again this types in with being a trapped bird!!!! So it doesnt have to be about Illuminati literally lmao, its about a higher authority controlling and censoring you. To wrap shit up lmao. Travis used a literal statement in "the ends" and weaved it somehow into this damn video and the CONCEPT of the butterfly effect. A double meaning to "the ends" in part 1 and 2 of this short flick. Gosh I love how incredibly talented Travis is. The music that keeps playing at the end, it's just so clear how committed he is to art. He produces some of the dopest beats I've ever heard also.
