I guess it's really not that much different to having ripped up designer jeans that are designed to fade: the distressed look for sneakers is now not so much "a thing", but part of the furniture of sneaker styles. It's just a design statement like the cut, the material etc, and many people seem to like it.
RU-vid XII Any piece of clothing is bought for quality of materials, craftsmanship, and name. If it’s expensive it’s because of the name behind it, and the quality. I think these shoes are okay but I would never wear them. But don’t say it’s because of the hype or name when that’s partly the case for any shoe. If this shoe had no name behind it but was limited to a few pairs it’d be valuable too. Most Hypebeast shoes are hyped because they are in fact good shoes. The hype doesn’t make the shoe the shoe makes the hype. It doesn’t take a genius to tell you the ten is an incredible influential collection of shoes. Not because of hype, but because of what it did to fashion, Nike, off-white, and sneakers. Look past Instagram an RU-vid an look at the fashion aspect.
Seth did a great job on reviewing this shoe but personally, I didn't really like the shoe itself, and the aesthetic just basically ruined it. unpopular opinion. keep up with the great work Seth!
As nike advertising them as "trail" shoes I believe the sloppy paint job means the dirts or muds on the shoes when you walk on trail. And thats why the paint will come off as it touches the water. I think thats the concept and I really love it
In my opinion It would have been cool if the paint was made to wash of over time to reveal a different pattern underneath as it’s nearly impossible to not get your shoes wet in day to day life and I’m not keeping them on a shelf
Boba Fett colorway... Guessing they’re supposed to look “cleaner” the longer you have them?? Like, the yellowing on the midsole & bubble will wash off/fade away over time???
I have the react 270s in the jade color and I did notice they feel a little different they also run big, I have low level drop foot so I need a shoe with a heel to help with the heel strike..great video
Im rockin when i hit these shows, festivals this summer. Be alot of dirt and dust which in my opinion is going to make this shoe even better but still got heat on the feet.if people hit travis shows they would understand how fire this shoe really is. You dont want to where a crispy clean shoe to a show. But because the shoe is made dingy already its nothing to worry about.dope af
I was able to cop these on the SKRS APP. I honestly thought they were trash at first but now Im seeing them in person and they look like a nike version of the balenciaga tripple s! Pretty satisfied with my purchase.

I am not a fan of the 270 reacts. I feel like the shoelace caging is to lose and not done or something. Like it looks like a prototype shoe instead of a finished shoe. Tbh the whole shoe looks layered and not...completely flushed or something. But I appreciate that they made this TS version a complete look.
I mean I don’t mind the yellow paint on the midsole. It’s a cool touch. I think Seth was a little harsh on it. We all have to remember that Travis was most likely behind that design and Travis has some of the craziest ideas.
That is the most rustic looking midsole I have seen on some Nike, I liked em from the first images. Colourway is refreshing but these (unlike the 1s,4s & 6s) I can easily live without
Tbh i think the paint job gives the shoe something unique, i’m sure the water disclaimer is there for a reason and will be interesting to see how the shoe wears out with time

Hotjamesbond Yeah but you can easily make that money back if you copped. SNKRS is just a bad app in general filled with bots and the s super laggy so the chances of copping are slim to nothing.
I don’t know how I feel about these shoes. I kinda like them, but I do wish I could get them in hand to actually see the colors and materials, but that will never happen lol. Great video Seth!
Lot of people don’t like the Nike react but I really like Dope color combination they seem used but there not. Fiercely made to rock ss20 I would rock them now ss20
