this song always makes me want to crank the radio up full blast and drive my car as fast as it will go... I LOVE TRAVIS TRITT.......ANY OF HIS SONGS ARE AWESOME.........
The only country music singer we were allowed to listen in my house as a kid was Travis tritt. My dad was a rock and roller but he loved Travis tritt. I couldn’t ever understand it but it’s the way it was.
This song always makes me crank the radio in my car because my sister, her friend from college, and myself are in the video. I remember when they came to the San Antonio/New Braunfels area to film the video. Good times
Am I the only one who's accidentally here... :D And I'm fascinated by this song. It's so good.... I'm from Serbia, so sorry if I made any mistake :) Anyway, such a good voice, such a good song...

Always LOVED this song! Loved it even more after seeing the video back in 1991, because timestamp 3:09-3:14 you can see the old sign for the Carlow Motel in Taylor, Texas. My great-uncle designed, built, and owned that motel. The sign is long gone now.
It's so weird for me to say this but here goes, WhenI saw the title Put some drive in your country I said I knew the title but couldn't couldn't remember words to it, my wife said yes you do. As I sat there drawing ah blank the song started to play and 2or 3 seconds went by and I started to sing and I sang the whole damn song...The whole song , my wife said , I told you that you knew it. Hadn't heard that song in about 10...15 years.
they are both good, but travis tritt has been laying down kickin country for years and you cant beat those classic country tunes like george jones and the HAG
Saw him in concert 6 yrs ago .he puts on one hell of a show .got a full 2 hours no break.his videos don't do his guitar skills justice the man can play.
Travis. You are a bright shining star on country heaven. lease. Never guive up and keep on running. The world needs people like you. May God bless you. Chuck
Travis opened his show in Columbia,SC in November 2002 with this song. It was a great show. He also covered Steve Earl's song Copperhead Road. Heck of a night.
This song always inspired me to get off my butt when I had a job to do that I really didn't want to do. It probably wasn't meant to be an inspirational song, but it always has ben for me.
@@davidwalter8821 hi thanks for asking I'm doing fantastic and yourself? I love all of Travis Tritts songs ❤ how I feel about the song is that He puts the drive into country music like it should be
That line about mixing Southern rock and country, oh and the nod to Skydog of course... That's good enough for me! Travis and the boys in Atlanta on a Sunday afternoon? Wish we got that in the old country (Portsmouth, England) on ANY afternoon!
+CHUCK - The Country Boy - HOUSTON ya music today is just not the same as this music that we grew up to! This is real, true down home country music eh!
Tara Mooney You rock, my Lady. Country music is like a religion for me. So pure, so real and she is doinga loit for all those who can't speak if you know. Pop music is just money. Shit. Hey Lady. Take good care and may God bless you. Crazy Chuck
+CHUCK - The Country Boy - HOUSTON hey crazy chuck lol, ya eh I so agree with you! This music is Like a religion for me to! Ya and WTF like 57 peeps dis this music ! They don't know nothin! bunch of fuckin trolls goin around dissin everyone's love for OUR MUSIC! ★★★★★
The only music that comes close to mixing Southern Rock and Country like Travis does is a group called Blackberry Smoke. Check them out. They have lots of You Tube videos. Travis set the standard though, over 20 years ago with hits like this one.
@@mrwhats-his-name8956 It doesn't matter to me what kind of artist she is I don't listen to Taylor Swift. Whatever genre she does I wish she and her unbiased fans well.
This was my second favorite you had, even my Dad in his seventies thought you were pretty dang good his words not mine. LOL He liked it because of your sound, but he also was a big fan George Jones too. Keep up the music has got me through a lot in my life.
For all you Scotty McCreery fans go post your comments on his site, why post it here? you are trying to hard to convince he's so great. He will never be better than Travis Tritt, thats why he is trying to get noticed, and Travis Tritt is already noticed, awarded.
Hey Dave I've seen alot of your comments on classic country videos. Do you happen to know if that was david ball driving the pickup truck in the beginning of the video?
Bout the time I turned 15 is when I decided Country was cool again listening to this and old school artists I grew up listening to thanks to Daddy and Monma, after a couple years listening to lots of other stuff. I still like other stuff but country is in my blood.
