purchased one of these from the states about 5 weeks ago as they have for some insane reason! been discontinued in australia. awesome car!! savage performance with the detail and build quality to match. for $475aud delivered to my door probably THE best value for money RC ever in my eyes. stoked!
I think this is an awesome vehicle from Traxxas! Traxxas truly is an innovator in the rc world. No matter how many traxxas haters there are they keep making cool products.
i think this is actually pretty cool! its awesome and nobody else has done anything like it. Looks so scale how it has those 3 driving modes? thats sick as hell!
The new esc and E2400kv Brushless motor they have in this funny car just mean they'll have that setup in one of there new cars/trucks to come in the near future :)

There are a LOT of people who are ONLY interested in drag racing. I've been in the hobby/sport since 1988 and I've been asked about drag cars probably more than any other style of racing. I, personally, am not into drag racing. But I'd imagine this could be pretty big if the price is right on them.
Guys, its a funny car.... That's what real funny cars look like.... If you want to do jumps, buy a stampede, rustler, e maxx, etc... Its a drag car made for drag racing...
When I first saw this vehicle I thought it was an interesting idea but it was to limited. But then I quickly realized that most people who buy RCs to go fast only really do high speed runs back and forth. So why not a funny car. Thats what there made to do. Except this one doesn't need to be rebuilt after every run lol.
@MclennanFamilyVideos No, Nitros ant better than eletric but I always love the smell and sound that a nitro gives off. Regardless of the maintenance. People baby through shit alot with eletric, but to be able to run a nitro, not many people are able to say that...
Who wants a funny car that is going to be as fast the first time you pull it out of the box as it will ever be. I'm a fan of electric cars because of their ease of use but this should be nitro so you can tune it. Plus it just isn't going to have the same effect it would if it was making the high pitched nitro whine as it went down the strip
where the hell would I run this awesome beast? My jato 3.3 used to flip so much that I Couldent afford to keep it up, even in a straight line it would flip with one twig in the parking lot.. lol
Some of the negative commentary is understandable, though not neccessary. Traxxas Funny Cars are great fun. I have quite a few of them. My personal experiences are they run well when treated well. Experience is the best teacher, but driving these funny cars like they are off road vehicles or road course vehicles is, in a word, pointless. My very first run, I ran straight, but obviously slow. As I built up experience, my speed increased as did my launch off the line. I ran 76mph with a new Courtney Force addition right out of the box.I mean, it literally went down the track like it was on rails. Oh, I also won that race. Not everyone is going to be good at drag racing. It requires skill and patience. As well as a sincere desire to win. ♡ Drag Racing.
I guess one has to be an NHRA fan and understand how amazing this car is. But still why would I want to spend that much money to run alone. I would personally invest in the light system if someone else in my community had their own car. Then we could race together. It's more fun that way. And yes the cars are timed seperately. It would just be more fun with another car. I have to agree with the other commentors. Too expensive. Like the XO-1.
Don't care how much fuel costs.... The novelty of this being a nitro powered RC would have been MUCH BETTER! I mean come on it'd be as close to a "scale" model as possible. with all the detail work they put into the chassis, body, and even the wheels...they went and put a electric motor in it. BUT maybe if they sell enough they will come to their senses and make a Nitro version like with the Slash and Slayer

traxxas messed this up (1) no where to run this for 99% of ppl (2) it needed to be nitro powered or gas at very lest i'm sure they will fix that at some point really the only thing it's got going for it is the look of it it looks just like the real thing
Nice but I wish it was nitro or gas powered. That way not only will this look like the real thing, it can almost sound like the real thing. Electric is boring. To me anyway lol
yeah don't buy their stuff. I know I'm not supposed to say this but they are making a bunch of money of the stuff and put the cheapest electric components on their cars. They went to Infineon and all they wanted was the cheapest there was.
Nitro suxs that's coming from I guy that's had the best money could buy of nitro on road of road I am going to electric doesn't stall no fuel wasting going all the time to buy fuel just charge and play not to mention much faster lol
Yer that's cool by what's the point? There are going to be very few people that are going to buy this (depending on the price which I don't know yet). Why does traxxas waste their time and money on stuff like this?

I agree with RCNUT77... traxxas, you are TOO EXPENSIVE! its Plastic! you cant tell me it costs $200 to Make that thing... so why charge us over $400 to buy it! or any of your stuff!
