Making me want to get another nitro. Much higher cool factor having a real engine with that sound and smell. Cool seeing the power difference quantified with the top speed as you adjusted it 😎
There was definitely smoke coming out just hard to see on video. I did lean it out too far on the last run hence the choking out towards the end of the run. It was richened back up after that. 👍
very good video I have the same car the same body and bought a dynamite .19 engine the same with the same exhaust, are you using the same traxxas transmission?
Excellent, looks like that Dynamite engine perform very good. I have a rutler but still with the 2.5 engine. Ill see if some day take a video of a speed run so we can compare. Thats a beautiful N Rustler. Good job man!
@@BigDogBermuda13 awesome! You are running 20% of nitro pr 30%? Something I always want to adapt is a Jato 2 speed transmission, is not a direct fit but with some work it can be install. Man keep filming video of this truck, I appreciate to see your progress with this particular vehicle.
Great run man! its easy to hear when you hit the leanest it can get while still making power, after 1 of the speed runs the motor starts to 'sing' this is what i call it.(the sound starts to bounce around as if its happy) this is hearable at 6:42 when you let go of the throttle, the sound kinda wobbles. this accounts for all nitro engines. if this sound gets more aggressive you are leaning it out too much or the engine temp is too hot, either way a richer setting is advised.
Nice vid. I’ll be resurrecting mine this summer. Haven’t run it since 2003! I see your using pull start you find that better than the ez start? And also what tires you running I always tore through the og traxxas knob/stud tires. They were bald after a couple of runs. Asking about the pull start as that looked very easy, I hated when it hadn’t run in a while and the ez start power would run out before getting it going.
I love the pull start. The ez start isnt very reliable and this is much less complicated. Tires i actually found on ebay. They are 17mm though so you need to run adapaters. They last much longer though!
I switched my Revo and Slayer over to pull start a few months back. Never looked back, EZ start is great when it works but the pull starts are way more reliable. That's just my two cents.
