You are correct about the lack of Info for the chassis mounted module...Traxxas did send me the pinout for the body mount module...but thank you the pin 4 tip...I have the Bronco aswell and use pin 7 for rocklights...I will lookup you other vids ...thank you for posting
I have the traxxas wireless link module which allows you to control all the lights from your phone. Pretty slick. Thanks for the bumper light bar mod. Just received the bar and will complete the mod in the next few days.
These two rigs only have a TQ transmitter since they started life as TRX4 Sport models. The link module/app requires a TQi transmitter plus the cost of the module.
Here is a link to a full explanation of the roof rack...it's a modified Traxxas Expedition rack.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-B8MXWPYAUJU.html Thanks for checking out the channel 👍
Most of the Traxxas lighting systems have proprietary connectors and its important to know which voltage/amperage other lighting systems are running at.. Not saying it can't be done but for me there are too many variables at risk to save a few bucks that may end up costing more if you 'brick' your esc or lighting module
I have plugged in modified battery powered christmass lights into the Aux light bar terminal 5 so my GSR interioir has dash lights. Even set up there own switch with the wifi app. as long as theyre 3 volts your fine, now if they have a high been function you have to run an extra wire to another port. Had that problem with aftermarket foglamps. But theyre long since broken.
On ports 1-12, port 1 Headlights low 2 headlights high 3 Aux light bar 4 Aux light bar 5 Parking lights 6 Brake lights 7 Daytime light DRL always on 8 Reverse Lights The rest I believe are ON all the time. If you tap off port 1-8 will interact with port numbering above.
Without app to change outputs 1-8. This is factory output setting. If you want rock lights On with headlights, plug into port #1. Or if want On when high beams are On port 2 and so on. Figured out by testing each output. Traxxas instructions #6591 shows the outputs on body output module and what Port A-N does.
I put a bumper light bar on. I hooked up the double wire to port 1 and single wire to port 2. But the bright light isn’t working. How do I need to hook it up to have bright?
