what is pheasantland rc track hours? I live about an hour from this track and I was trying to come checkout the track. I have a maxx and 2 stampede vxl's. thanks.
@@Soviet_Saguaro Yeah, the thing is that the stock rustler already costs 430€. With the needed upgrades we're looking at a 600-700€ RC which is way too much money on such a small RC car. For that price you can buy an E-Revo 2.0 which is miles better than the rustler 4x4 vxl!
I had the first edition of the rustler vxl years ago. I got a 3S to try and hit 70mph. Anything over 3/4 throttle and the air under the truck would just flip it over. Met with the guys at traxxas at a trade show, they said the only way they could do it was by strapping weight to the front. I later got a 2S and that was the best setup. Plenty of speed for a track but you could be more aggressive with the throttle.
Bought one as my first rc car and it will not stop breaking parts, total garbage. Traxxus should make the parts strong enough for the power the motor puts out.
@@Mr.Gribble wouldn't a better RC car be fun? Why are you being a whiny snowflake? I never said there was anything wrong with the slash I just said they're is even better ones out there I have a slash and I like it
@@tmar352 Well, now that I know you have and enjoy your Slash, I change my mind. I had just assumed you were one of those people who constantly fight about what brand is better.
@@Mr.Gribble all good sorry for the mix up, and that was an old comment about the losi. I did like the losi 4x4 more than the slash 4x4 BC it has metal chassis so heavier and more planted it still has things worse about it also. I now have a 2wd slash lcg and like it the most for my style of bashing.
I just picked up a rustler 4x4 vxl the other day. Havent had a chance to take it out yet. Looks like made a good choice. I got the 2s battery to start out with since its my first decent Rc car.
@minty Yeah, I like it a lot. It's pretty damn tough and really fast on 3s, batteries. I ended up getting two 3s battery's becuse it was kind of slow on 2s. I recommend getting the a fan for bothe the ESC and the motor, or it will overheat on you pretty quick. Especially if you put the high-speed gear in and/or you are doing back to back high speed runs. I put a pretty good beating on it wreaking/flipping it, and it's held up great. The only parts I've broken so far are the front shock tower and front differential. It was completely my fault, though. I smashed it into a big ass rock at 55 mph. I was paying attention to the GPS telemetry and not where I was driving. I will say if you like to drift and slide a lot, then a 2wd slash might be a better option. The differentals in the rustler don't lend it to drifting very well. It will send all the power to the inside wheels and flip it over before it drifts. Unnless you're on a very hard but loose surface, it's pretty hard to get it to do donuts. I recommend getting the traxxas telemetry expander pack also. With the expander pack, you can download an app on your phone so you can monitor the motor' RPM'S, temperatures, GPS speed, and battery voltage. It uses Bluetooth to connect the radio to your phone.
Hi, I have a T-MAX 3.3 , but I’m looking electric traxxas and I see the new MAX and the E-REVO, but I don’t like because doesn’t come with the battery what you guys recommend me..
Is there any way to reduce the power? will be new on this so will need some training. planning to start with the 2s batteries. but is there any additional power reduction I can do ? do you think the training mode is just fine? thanks.
Mine is on its way, reviews said the battery didnt fit but i got the same 3s. And you explained so now not worried i wasted time on the wrong battery thats also on its way. Thank you!
