It was in lipo mode. Had green light.

It does have a faster arcelation but not a faster top speed

4WD gives you better traction when accelerating. Top speed will be exactly the same as a 2WD if the motor, gearing, and battery are the same.

C rating is discharge rating. the nimh should be at about 25c to 30c i doubt any higher, but the lipo should be at least 35c. in theory the Nimh battery would give faster acceleration cause its a higher Voltage. 8.4v compared to 7.4v. but lipo batteries are more efficient so pro-longed acceleration the lipo wins. off the jump. there's gonna be a TINY difference in acceleration.

An accelorometer we used to measure acceleration. 50 years ago we would make a graphical accelerator out of a small spring, some pencil graphite and a strip of paper. We would compare the lengths of the pencil lines to graph differences in scale model rocket engines. The printed ISP data from the rocket engine manufacturer. The rig taped inside the rocket body. Sounds real old school analog right? Now you can get the data from a tiny embedded chip and digital to boot! Nowadays you could have fun making a scaled, neighborhood defensive missile battery to keep intrusive drones at bay. "Just because you can, does not mean you should."

@Fusion With great power comes great responsibility :-). With that said, don,t go crazy on the throttle.

@Cryonicwolfy it'll run 3s no problem. Some People run the slipper clutch too loose which results in the plastic bearing adapter melting. Traxxas sells an aluminum upgrade for this but RRP sells a brass bearing adapter that's actually stronger.

I have a real tired 7 cell 600mah nicd pack. Changed out to a high performance esc and run time dropped 50%. Power conversion factor is how the motor/esc/battery should be mapped on paper first.

40-50 on a Nimh 7 cell? Unless I change the spur and pinion out I can't go that fast with mine lol. I only use 3S and just updated to an aluminum motor mount with boca bearings. Getting a little over 50 now. I primarily bash so that is perfect speed for the dirt maybe alittle to much.

Yeah, I thought that a Lipo automatically makes your Slash faster too but was told since the voltage in a 2S Lipo (7.4V) is close to the 3000mAh NiMH (8.4V), the speeds will be about the same. But a 3S Lipo will make it faster & so will changing the gears. Higher tooth pinion and lower tooth spur gear will make your Slash a rocket. Just make sure you don't over gear it as your motor will get too hot.

That Sir... is not a correct statement. The speed control is factory set to Profile #1 (100% forward, brakes, and reverse). To disable reverse (Profile #2) or to allow 50% forward and 50% reverse (Profile #3). Please don't comment with incorrect information. That doesn't help anyone.

Your wrong you didn't change modes at all it was clearly a red light on your esc maybe don't post vids when you don't know what you're doing
