Hope you enjoyed the One Year Review of the Traxxas Sledge. For those of you who have been with us on the channel know we’ve struggled getting all the kinks worked out of this amazing RC. This was what I needed to see to help seal my decision between Sledge and Arrma 6s EXB, thanks for posting a 1 year review! I agree wholeheartedly with a comment posted sooner that this is just WAYY too much to spend on an already pricey RC to get it proper. I also understand that upgrades are dependent and usually necessary but, even out of the box, there is well over 400 bucks more almost *required* (servo, diffs, motor mount) just to be safe. Add that to the cost (in my area) of 1465.86 already JUST for what I need to bring it home; this includes the items the service fella informed me of at the shop that I should get with the truck. Much more budget-friendly option on that Arrma (with the recommended upgraded diff items). That would initially be 700 cheaper since the Arrma is already 300 cheaper (with initial shop recommended upgrades). Ultimately, BOTH great choices and it has been tough to decide since just about every head-to-head I have viewed in this journey has come down to a tie. lol! Keep doing what ya do, fellas! Hope to one day get to meet and bash with ya!

Kraton EXB has broken twice within minutes of reviewing it. We’re hoping it gets better, versus coming soon. SLEDGE has been my favorite truck so far, after a few upgrades it’s very dominant.

@@redbanditracing, yeah, I remember the first bash video and the snapping of that output cup on the very first flop. These were planned to order along with the truck anyhow! However, I'm still anticipating that head-to-head from ya'll to add to my decision deliberation!

Good video but the upgrades are really dependent on your driving style. I mostly ground pound I have sent mine over the 40ft wide drainage ditch in my bash spot, skate park once and off the kc rc ramp many times and after 2 years my only issue is the factory servo is going out I have not broken any gears or bent the chassis so the upgrades are for those who really send it but most people dont and wont need it. Most people miss in the instructions if your going to jump or run on rough terrain to move the shocks to the inner hole they dont do that and slam it to the ground because the shocks are in the wrong spot and dont have the extra ground clearance and proper shock angle.

Very true on the suspension setup, I adjust depending on what we do. And the as far as the issues go, also true. Depending on your driving style you may have certain issues. I’ve seen guys bash hard and never bend the chassis or have gear mesh issues. Great comment

After acquiring a 10 year old V1 E-Revo Brushless Edition a month ago and absolutely loving it, I have been looking at the Sledge. It looks very good.

@DanBrando I am wanting to upgrade the driveline of my V1 to the 2.0. Although for that, I might just try and build a 2.0 from the ground up.

Upgrade your servo horn, your steering will be so much better and quicker just by the servo horn, and I would also throw in the servo steel box which comes in all different colors

Hey, I’m new to your channel but I would love for you to start doing reviews on the Team Corally buggies and trucks, I have two Syncro 4S and a spark 6S now I’m looking at the Kagama 6S truck. So far, I am totally blown away by the three buggies that I have I use them as rentals on my track👍🏽

Love the video. However I really hate when you buy a $800 RC Car and it still needs so many upgrades and money invested....Come on really?

Yes really, that’s very normal. It’s just business, and it’s smart business to get customers to upgrade. And just remember everyone pushes RC’s to their breaking point all the time. Everything must be faster, and stronger and survive every hit…that’s a tall order for any RC.

Hey man love the videos. I got the sledge recently and blew out my tires foams. What would you recommend? Switch to belted or stick with stock, run them vented or seal off the vents?

I did the same thing, the rear tires felt flat because the foam was in pieces. I bought a new set, non belted Sledgehammers. Second set so far have lasted a lot longer. It’s hard to backflip with belted if you go that route, you’ll also half to change the pinion.

@@redbanditracing Ive been taking notes buddy , ive had a gutsful of my Arrma Trucks and been dying to pick up my first Traxxas and this is currently on offer here in the UK so seems a no brainer . BTW subbed buddy keep up the awesome work . So if you had to pick up one upgrade from the off , what would it be ? Stay awesome Chris :)

Definitely the M2C motor mount, the chassis will bend and that motor mount will keep a good mesh. Wait to upgrade the diffs until they start to strip.
