For crawling the canyon tires are hard to beet...thanks for showing us just how great this is on the rocks.. I had no idea just how great they are on this kind of surface..I've seen other videos, yet this one by far is the best...showing exactly what the Summit can do with a good driver at the controller. Thanks
This is one of the best video's showing what a driver, with some experience can do with a stock Summit. The Summit is a good truck ( I have one) but the real credit is the one driving! Thanks for sharing...this was GREAT! Racing F4ver
I'm a noob to the RC world, but I bought a 3.3 Revo, Brushless E-Revo, Summit 1/8, and Summit 1/16. My neighbor has the HPI Savage XL 5.9. I love my Summit so much, I bought a second.
THE BEST crawlin vid I've viewed - bar none!! Not only was the crawler awesome but your experience & technique operating was better than I've seen comin from some "built up" crawlers out there that cost 3 times as much. I'm going to take another serious look at the Summit again before I invest 2 to 3 times as much for a crawler that can even get close to what this summit can do. Thanks
Great SUMMIT vid mate, I love the sound that the summit tyres make, no other tyres sound like that! When your doing high speed and doing jumps, the sound is incredible ha ha.....love it. Oh and no other car creaks as good as a SUMMIT either LOL (-;
This video inspired me to get my summit! And I can agree with the other posts on here. Very nice maneuvering around the rock formations. Now if only I could find somewhere like the area above to play in, lol. I have taken my summit to a mountain bike trailing area.
Nice vid. I'm wishing I had some lipos for mine. Looking to get into a lipo set up here soon since all of my nimh packs have tanked on me. Some very nice driving there too, good throttle control.
I agree, this was when I first bought it and like the 3rd time out this is how it came stright out of the box. There has been lots of changes since then. lol. but thanks for the info cause you just never know :)
I think it crawls pretty darn good for all the hard core crawler guys sayin it aint a crawl, its just not technically a scale crawler but can outperform most of them
So bone stock? Wow! I drove my buddy's Summit and drove it like my SCX10, I think maybe his diffs weren't locking, yours looked LOCKED UP! Real nice video, starting to work on getting a Summit as my "do everything" fun rig.
Hello Very interrestuing et marvelous vidéo !! The summit is t he original out of the box in this video? Thank you for this moment of pure pleasure for the eyes. A true lesson in 3D trial
No, if your referring to the fact that sometimes only one rear wheel spins is cause sometimes it's better only having the front locked. If your referring to the squeak than it's probably the rear plastic drive shaft doing it thing, lol.
I think it would've performed better if the front suspension was softer. It sits at its fully extended downward range with barely any upward range. Just a suggestiom
+Hayden McDonald The joints and center driveshafts can get rather dry and start to squeak. It's no biggie though. Both my summits creak and groan and it's hard to keep them from doing it.
+Alex Ha Yeah mine does the same thing. Think it did that out of the box. I don't care though, think it adds character. And I still haven't had to replace a single part or even adjust anything. The thing just works, every time. Hell I don't even bother washing it properly, as long as it's dry and there's no mud etc on it.
i would get a summit, the slash ultimate is a good trailing truck, but the summit is an even better one, and you can crawl with it, which you cant do with a slash.
my summit makes that squeaking nose to i am pretty sure it is the drive shaft cvd just needs to be greased up a little, to any one who is thinking about getting a summit STOP thinking right now and go buy it, if you have the money it is pretty expensive i have definitely got my moneys worth though.
