Hey! from an ex California student who lives in India now and 9cmonths inro the crawler world It’s nice to see a fun positive review! Also awesome to see little to zero FMS crawler videos on your channel although you did mention them in the beginning especially in a world where most guys are dumping a new one each day. I’m watching this video as I order my first Traxxas crawler (mini and new) I have old ones The trx4m Bronco. This is after fms and axial and a bunch of mini wltoys rgt cross Rc to name a few I’m dwelling into the Traxxas crawler scene simply because I see so much aftermarket just like the Scx24. It was between this and the svx24 Bronco used, I chose the xMBronco.
I highly recommend it. I got a bunch of parts from Injora coming in for it and it’s a really simple vehicle to make incredible. Also if you do end up getting it I highly highly recommend getting the Adaptive designs flex blades if you enjoy major flex and crawling. I also have a trx4 defender which out of the box is also really capable. Traxxas offers a lot of good vehicles but I definitely recommend this one as a start for you.
what a bliss to see such a nice woman deeply interested in RC cars - makes me loving this hobby even more 🙂 I have just bought Bronco 1:10 as my first crawler and I am impressed. Thank you for your work. I will follow your vids RC girl
I got the High Trail Edition F-150. Absolutely love driving the mini. I have a black Bronco body arriving today. I also bought the low range transmission gears and a Holmes hobby brushed motor for it.
Yup got the defender and the trailer. And an extra battery. I took your advice and really snapped that trailer on the hitch. I want a trx 4 tactical body for it.
First time viewer and new subscriber here . just bought one 2 days ago and I absolutely love it ! Traxxas did well especially for $150! Good review. Just curious don’t have instagrams do you ever give a way parts on RU-vid?
thank you for the detailed review and I love the shots with the trailer. I do disagree, my beagle would not tolerate the trailer and would be in the cab :) AND I bought the LandRover Blue from my LGS. Thanks for always promoting them.
That Defender you have was epic. I have the Defender M I have the 1:10 scale TRX Bronco already so I picked the Defender. Slowly upgrading it replaced the links & front steering arm. Also some Treal metal beadlocks & super sticky Injora tires. It’s been a blast & can’t wait to upgrade it some more. You definitely represent the RC world well I was at Proline By The Fire & you took the time to speak to & encourage young girls who are out with family Crawling. I definitely saw a far share of girls with there own Crawlers. It’s a great family oriented hobby or Obsession which is most of us we are RC Nuts pretty much. 😂
Since I cannot afford the real Bronco, I may have to get one of these! Unfortunately the crawling scene in eastern NC is pretty slim, no events that I know of, and there is only one track that I know of within an hours distance that only holds 1/24 scale crawling competitions. I currently have two crawlers, a Element Trailwalker and a Associated CR12. And I just get them out once in awhile and do some bashing with them.
The (1) pre installed spacer helps to keep the ride height nice and level. It has some torque twist and the spacer helps with that too. I thought I was loosing it as well😂
The battery issue is pretty easy to fix. Just need to make an adapter that connects to the balance lead of a 2s with the center wire going to the top/center pin. Pretty sure it's used solely as a sense pin because the output voltage where the lights plug in is 6V.
On the topic of double AA batteries. Rechargeable batteries are only 1.2v compared to 1.5v so small performance drop and shorter run time and less trasmiting distance (performance) just depends how important it is to the user
Awww yeah! I got the Defender and loving it, nice change of perspective and the play area is bigger😁 I've got a set of 1.0 Black Rhino Armory wheels that i might use for it. I would like to get the Bronco but i will probably wait and see if they expand the lineup. The TRX4M are also cheaper than the SCX24 Bronco equivalent at my LHS here in Australia.
Awesome video, as always! I'm really starting to dig the smaller scale rigs more and more! I already have a 1/18th scale RocHobby Fire Horse, and I think one of these would be a great crawling partner for it! I really need to get my hands on one of these soon! 🤞
I just love this RC for those massive tires and those bronco looks! My my! Yessss! My FCX 24 is on the way with upgrades. Gosh! I splurged so much that I could have gotten a 1/8th crawler with that kinda money. Phew!
@@RCGirl this is true. Now I've to create a 24 scale crawler course. Mo money mo money 🥲🤣 i guess fcx24 is a solid performer so should be fun for a very long time
The preload clip that is already installed on the right rear shock is to counter torque twist. I had the same, one was installed and three in the box. Cheers
Hi. first of all i have to say, a first class video, everything explained well, so you can buy the car with peace of mind. But I have one request, where did the dog and the beer crate come from.?..that's a great scale...
I know this is probably a silly question, but, what are the purpose of tyre foams? And how do you know when to use them and when not to? I know some RC’s don’t use them and some do. 🤯
I enjoyed the video and my Bronco. The interior mod is a great option. That interior mod with more choices to mount the shocks is interesting. Does it interfere with the lights at all?
I like my white Bronco it looks amazing. I did get a Yeah racing skid plate and Traxxas high speed gear set hasn't been installed yet. Still testing the stock gear for now. I put the preload clips on all fours & it looks more higher this way to clear the bumper more goin up hills or obstacles. Looks like a mini high trial now lol.
The TRX4M is by far the best mini crawler out there. The aftermarket has really heated up since it came out. You can basically build one from the ground up with aftermarket parts now. Ask me how I know 😂
From a real bronco owner, i get about 415 miles on a full tank and that is with the bigger engine (2.7L ecoboost v6) and i believe with the smaller engine (2.3L ecoboost i4) ypu moght get higher milage
I own the same one but there is something very important missing!! A driver figure and can't find any suitable........ But a great little car for sure!!
This was awesome to see! I am currently waiting for my local shop to get a black Bronco in stock (hopefully in the next week or so). I was curious to the foam though. What is the benefit of having the foam in the tires. And if I were to drive through snow or a puddle, would the foam not just soak it all up? Thanks!
The 1/10 th scale is just much more better with the rock crawler. The 1/18 scale just didn't have that rock crawler realistically. Kind of remind me of a toddler learning to craw, but still stumbles a lot. Just didn't make any sense that you would have to upgrade every parts with beefy all metal. In the end, it's just gonna end up paying for almost the same price of a more expensive and bigger upscale model.
Awesome video! You mentioned the lights can be controlled from the transmitter, can it go thru all the light modes? I could only get mine to go between headlights on and flashers.
Oh whoops - I misspoke! It's actually the EZ-set button on the ESC in the truck that toggles through the light modes. Whoops! Had to read the manual for that one 😆
I've been looking for an affordable RC crawler mainly to enjoy running around inside my house, as I can run it over various obstacles on a rainy day. Any thoughts between the Bronco version vs the Defender version in terms of features? Can't decide which is more appealing. thx
