Traxxas Xmaxx 8s Review After A Year 

This is all my opinion of driving the truck after a year. I drive my truck crazy hard as you can see in this video and many of my other ones, so its possible you may have a different experience. Overall the truck is awesome and I love it, but it needs some work out of the box. The stock esc is a goes out on about half of everyone that owns the truck, and in my experience it is not submersible. (driving through puddles killed my esc).

Another problem with the truck are the bearings. It's nice to have an entire set of bearing on hand. Here's the link:

Make sure you have some blue loctite when you first get the truck in order to prevent the pinion gear from coming loose. This is the first thing I would advise everyone to do.
For me, a drill has been very important for working on the truck because it cuts your time by a lot. Here's the drill I use:

Don't forget to drill all your tires with an 1/8th in drill bit on all 4 sides to prevent them from exploding and saving you money.
When you get a max 6 you will have to solder on connectors because it doesn't come with any. Here's a link to the connectors, you can solder onto your esc and your batteries:

Something I feel strongly about is putting the inside exoskeleton on the outside of the truck. This will give you much more mileage out of your stock body. Here's the link on how to do it:

Something I didn't mention but I recommend is getting the rear rpm bearing carriers. They last much longer than the stock bearing. Here's the link:
