Glad to see your follow up from yesterday so soon. 100ºF is better than 114-115º; and unlike for us folks down in the midsouth I am guessing it is *dry* heat. When it gets over 100º around these parts, just walking to your mailbox and you are completely drenched like stepping out of the shower and the air is so thick, one would think you could cut it with a knife.
I'm running Duratrax Hatchet X and they look identical to the tires you're running. The Duratrax brand has been discontinued. I like those tires so much I picked up a spare set & haven't been able to find them since. I've seen them under that name but for sale from the UK. Cheer good run in the heat .
EARL…..it’s been a100 degrees here in North Carolina…..I decided to put red loctite on the pinion and let it set overnight. Can you believe it….it got hot and even broke the red loctite….but other than that it was a blast….lovin my xmaxxes to death….great video….🇺🇸👍🚘
Yes that was the issue I had till the jconcept magma tires bead lock there heavy and expensive but no more tire issues now I’m looking for a cheaper solution 💯👌

@@V8chump oh man I loveit, it’s so durable. Even my 4 year old son love it and I let him use it and do whatever he wants. That Mojave never break. I’m going to buy another one for me so he can keep mine. I also going to buy the new Traxxas Sledge. It would be my first Traxxas. They have a great deal with battery and charger.
Tires and wheels look awesome, does sound like its lost some cushion from the tires on landing from big jumps nice to have options though. I still want to see the 100 mph from the new max slash
Cool, I was thrilled to see another video out so soon. I had my Ultimate out the other day with the RPM hinge pins for the first time. I bashed it for about 35 minutes and I had no failures of any kind or cracking. I did more jumps in a single bash than I have ever done. Using those 5/32" wheel collars I mentioned to install one of the RPM pins on the rear inside upper worked great. I have been curious about those tires but in a different tread pattern. Looking for something with less weight than the belted Sledgehammers but less ballooning than the non belted Sledgehammers.
Nice Earl, I think you have better The direction is that the new wheels are a little smaller in diameter with larger rims and are not as aggressive as the previous ones.. I'm glad you started posting again
Thanks for the vid Earl especially in the heat. Seems to be hot everywhere it was even 92F up here in B.C., Canada. I ran my slash beside my granddaughter as she rode her quad but it wasn't for long. Too damn hot.
I prefer having that drift when I turn. Those tires seem to be doing pretty dang good. Might need to try those out. Can’t remember what brand you said they were

Such a tossup with weather. We have the heat AND humidity so nothing catches fire but everything is also consistently wet mud because nothing's drying out and then you've got Cali 115°. Everything's dry but everything is also on fire 🤣😂🤣
I had Proline Masher X belted for about a year, ran a lot of packs, no re-gluing. Max 5 1100 25/35 gearing. One finally gave out. Do you think those tires would hold up?
Earl I know you run stock shock oil, have you tried thicker? I tried 50w, didn’t wanna go too nuts, and it feels quite a bit more plush on landings while still being active enough for smaller bumps

I have a HR gear cover on my Xmaxx and after a run or two the screws back out and my gears start to sound funny when heavy on the throttle, should I just get a new gear cover or does it sounds like something else?
