I'll always be a big fan of Traxxas products. I have an Xmaxx, XRT, Hoss, Rustler, Stampede. And looking to buy more RC's from Traxxas to complete my Traxxas collection. If a part ends up breaking simple just fix it and your out back to running your RC having more fun and cold beers. Cheers 🍻
Earl, I use to buy OEM parts from Traxxas, but the same things keep failing and I finally upgrade whatever part it is and like you said, it forces other parts to break… eventually I get the right combo of upgraded parts and stock parts and all is well…
I got 4 Kraton 6s now, but never been as unlucky as with the latest EXB one. Suspension arms, shock rod ends, wheel nuts, hinge pins, 2 front cvds, and one smoked rear diff. And yes I know it is what happens it is hobby and is fun. But what has broke was not from hard bashing at all. (With upgrades for ther ear and the diff I think Im up around 200 right now)I like my Arrmas because I also enjoy to rebuild and so on. But now Im actually thinking of to buy an XMaxx and see what happens. Because Im lil bit tired of breakdown almost every single run. My Mojave tho that one holds up lol :)
I love my xmaxx runs perfect so far thanks for putting me on to getting a xmaxx ....I've been 3d printing alot of parts for mine that's been working really good first thing I had to print was different risers to rase my battery holder height to fit my batteries works really good....
I agree...Not sure if it was your last video but I said the initial cost of the Xmaxx is a little expensive, but the repairs are very inexpensive....Traxxas parts are actually cheap (price cheap) I will take an Xmaxx all day over any other large scale R/C!!!!!
The arrow is the tread… point the chevron forward… they are great tires though. The Xmaxx tires don’t come with the extra figment pieces because they are only for the Xmaxx
Most parts are cheap to replace on x maxx because it is all plastic but anything significant like a shock or a diff gear is gunna be about the same. Also worth noting if you value speed and handling outcast 8s blows the doors off the x maxx. Better driving experience in my opinion.
Did you do any cooling upgrades for your xmaxx to run in high heat? I'm over in Laughlin / Bullhead City area, where it's reaching 120's this week. I was out early though in lower temp just cruising the car not pushing it hard and it turned off. I thought it broke at 1st, but evidently the esc shut it down to protect it from overheating, it worked fine after it cooled down. I've been on a scavenger hunt all over this area looking for the best spot to run it and oh man did I find a jackpot of a spot, has a mixture of everything from jumping to trail to hills and sand dune.
@@rcguygarage I can see the ad now one used Kraton 8s $400.00 upgraded chassis and m2c build for sale never worked good after must sell I’ll pay you 400.00 to take it away lmao hahahahahahahahah
@earlmoorhead5555 which gears do you prefer for a stock X-Maxx 18/50, 20/50? My local hobby shop say just leave it but I thought I would ask someone who actually runs theirs hard. Any overheating issues, I don't drive it too hard usually just short bursts of speed and try to be nice to it.
Great video thanks. After 6 years my EDS hex are wearing out. You appear to use arrowmax, black and gold. So those or MPI for a replacement? Thank you.
