Tray Deee opened up to VladTV about being a gangster when he became a rapper and never backing away from the gangster lifestyle. He explained that once you become affiliated with a gang like the Bloods or Crips, there's no real backing out.
During the conversation, Tray Deee spoke about rappers knowing how to modify their gangster when they start reaching certain levels of success, and how staying in the life of a gangster got him twelve years. To hear more, hit the above clip.

I think there was some miscommunication here in what Gangster means...Boosie meant you cant be in the streets doing crimes etc(not necessarily referring to being an active gang member) and still be a rapper where as tray dee was saying I'm always gonna be a gangster(as in gang member) regardless if I am rapping or not...Nipsey is a gang member( gangster) but he isn't actively doing gangster sh!t.

When the Og Tray Dee speaks, I’m usually listening. I stopped being “active” back in the early 2000’s, yet many people consistently bring up the days of me tearing up shit, or allegedly doing shit. My point...whether you consider yourself a gangster or not , some people will probably always view you that way. Then you have the studio gangsters and social media thugs. Many of those people usually get their cards pulled. You can change your environment, but it’s sometimes hard to change your mentality.
