Def correct on gable considering how much they tried to hype him up and having the mania moment etc. He just sucked for the little we saw of him his brother has been a far better talent thus far.
Jeff Hardy is far from a bust. He just a tragic example of someone letting their demons get the best of them, and unfortunately Jeff had to reap those consequences of his actions. EVERY person wanted to see Jeff succeed and be on Cena level of popularity
I mean the video would still be accurate if the title were “Jeff Hardy is the biggest ducking disappointment in wrestling history” point stands, he never came close to the heights he should have gotten to. Which is crazy to say because he’s still a top 20 wrestler all things considered. He was generational but should’ve been once in a lifetime.

Jeff should’ve been on Orton/Cena amount of world title runs, but I can’t lie he sabotaged his career so many times with the DUI’s, the wellness policy’s. he’s still my GOAT and no one can take anything away from him, but a lot of the stuff he did hurt his career he should’ve been bigger
ROH was on HDNet (cable tv channel you had to pay extra for). They would go on to have a love/hate relationship with Sinclair Broadcasting (CW & RDC channels) as they were on syndication. Sinclair never put money into ROH and it showed in production. When the pandizzle started ROH lost A LOT of money in trying to stay ahead of the coco (hotels, travel, testing, etc.) so they can keep having shows. As we all know unless you are WWE or AEW it’s hard to sustain a wrestling promotion with no fans. Sinclair cut ties with ROH after they lost 50 million dollars. Tony Khan bought ROH years ago and now it’s basically a Weekend At Bernie’s style corpse.
Nah he was lw cappin in the vid after the victory road incident I remember they gave him a lil revival comeback push story and he took the title off Aries in the BFG tourney (I think).
Jeff was apart of one of the greatest and most loved tag teams.. He is a Grand slam champion within WWF. in my opinion Jeff overachieved. i understand he had his drug issues but so did Shawn Michaels and no one says he was a bust. Jeff hardy had his issues and still wrestled for 25+ years consistently.
I feel there was a lot of times prior to certain relapses he got screwed with matches he was built up to win but just…. Didn’t. Kicking off specifically at TLC when there was STILL no reason to lose IN THEIR HOME TOWN. As over as they was it was horrid decision making. I think the effect multiplied over time. Him losing that build up ladder match against undertaker, Losing to Matt Hardy in wrestlemania (made no sense), the loss to Cm punk. Which is not the excuse cause you could say certain reasons of those losses was due to the addiction But I sternly believe they played into each other back and forth and likely kicked off with the Hardy’s getting folded consistently. ESPECIALLY with how wrestling treated every wrestler that was outside of a certain visual expectation they was kept from success they earned and put it on. I know addicts they don’t JUST get on for no reason. And while the reasoning gets lighter consistently as it gets worse but on top of all the things that may revolve around them. Ultimately still on him with his bs addictions and no shows. I just think it just plummeted downhill because with all of the other preceding events. Having people like pump who’s up there ass judging those who has struggled with it is really bullshit because that is the WORST way to treat any one whos addicted. Just like how they used Matt’s real life bull shit. In a script and made that shit even worse. Drug addicts have issues but it’s permanently altering affect and nagging at it and using it for a bit is even more fucking him up with all that shit. He has control, but if people don’t think others around him also has an effect. It makes it even worse.
I don’t think that people get that he won championships in his time in WWE winning WWE championship and being a 2 time Heavyweight Champion, also was won the tag titles a lot with Matt, also winning the intercontinental championship 4 times and the hardcore championship a couple times. So he has those in his resume’ the only reason people seem to think he is a bust cause of his addictions, heck there are people who we consider one of the best that haven’t even won as much as Jeff Hardy did, even has as much ships as Goldberg just about, he may not have been a great mic presence but the matches were far from stale with him, I wouldn’t call him a bust or even a missed opportunity because his whole ordeal was the hardcore aspect of his gimmick, he may not have been a 10x or 16x wwe champ or World heavyweight champ but he ain’t a bust at all, if anyone is a bust I would say Jack Swagger for sure
He's not even close to the biggest bust. Multiple times champion in multiple promotions. Yes he made mistakes but he's come back multiple times. Most people fail and give up. He's an easy Hall of Famer.
14:20 This part is kinda a stretch, ngl. CM Punk's World Heavyweight Championship runs didn't last that long and he went back to midcard after them. 2011 when he won the WWE Championship is when he really became the star he is now.
Jeff Hardy never can considered a bust, I would say more of a pro Wrestling equivalent to Jon Jones minus the narcissism. A bust would be a Marc Mero first person in WWE to get a guaranteed contract and it amounted to him doing nothing.
