I believe you need both so your body doesn't get used to the same exercise all the time.

So true! If treadmill and bike workouts are compatible with your body and needs, they both absolutely have great health benefits. It is hard to choose just one!

u missed the biggest thing. durability/maintenance..... treadmills require loads of routine maintenance....bikes require zero

Interval training benefits many cricketers like yourself due to the stop-start nature of the game. With that being said, this form of training is easy to do with either of these machines. Some athletes lean towards the treadmill for run specific training and faster calorie burning. Meanwhile, some athletes prefer the exercise bike for less stress on their joints and a lower average cost. That's a great question! Both of these tools are calorie burning machines, but it's also dependent on the user. From carol bike.com we found, "that running on a treadmill burns 8.18 to 10.78 calories per minute, while stationary cycling burns 7.98 to 10.48 calories per minute. The exact amount of calories you burn depends on various factors, including your age and fitness level." @@itspro8538 With a manual treadmill, you put more effort, energy, and muscle power into each stride. You power the machine, so a manual treadmill might be a better choice if your goal is to burn a high number of calories in a shorter amount of time. Again, both are great options for cardio equipment. Hope this helps!
