Your RU-vid Video on"Treasure hunt/Ugly cams are stuffed with pearls, the process of dealing them is so decompressing." Great video footage. Brilliant and amazing RU-vid Video !
Wait... clam it up or GLAM it up?! Should’ve checked the other clams & shell... might’ve found shoes, matching handbag, & designer gown! It could happen!😯
Amazing what a trip to the costume jewellery store and a handful of prepped clams can make people believe, that is a white lipped clam and it is extremely unlikely that it will ever make the darker hues never mind having multi colours so extreme in colour to the natural white/softer colours it would naturally make.
A clam or oyster won't have different colors of pearls inside it. Depending on the type of mollusk, it will produce one type of colored pearl. They do this to coat irritating sand and such that they cant get rid of and is hurting them. So they produce a substance to coat and make the object smooth and less irritating. So that one clam, oyster or other mollusk will have one type of substance to coat things with - and one color of pearls in it.
@@TexasBella23 - Seeing it doesn't make it real. Movie magic! Plant plastic pearls in shells and claim they are real pearls. There are many examples of things that look real but are the result of special effects on youtube.
@@laurengriffin2225 this user is correct, these are cultured pearls. They put small amounts of shell into the river mussel and it grows a pearl around it.
Sure, giant clams containing multiple array of unnatural colored pearls just sitting in 3 inches of water undiscovered until this young lady "found" them. Would have been more believable had all the pearls been similar in color.
Jewels AND lunch all at one go! They put glass beads into the bivalve and the clam or oyster then coats the bead with pearl. Natural pearls are made when a bit of grit or something gets into the bivalve and it coats it, just like it does the glass beads, and that becomes a natural pearl. Looks to me like these pearls have been seeded by putting glass beads into them. Colors, I understand, come from them getting sick. Pink pearls are, in my opinion, the prettiest and colored pearls do occur naturally as well as cultured.
Hi Mary! :-) Coloured pearls do indeed occur naturally - South Pacific black and green and aubergine coloured pearls are available and occur naturally as do the blue mabe pearls of New Zealand's paua shell. :-)
That's unbelievable, the size of those clams are huge. I never knew that they could have so many pearls and in so many different colours, I am blown away, wow!
They do. Anything under the mollusks family can produce pearls, even sea snails can. One of the rarest pearls in the world called melo melo is produced by a sea snail. The clams in the video though have probably undergone some treatment or procedure to produce that many pearls and of different color varieties. You can see that these are not high quality pearls.
I never knew they produced more than one pearl in a clam or oyster.i would love to have a bunch of clams and put sand or whatever in it just to be able to harvest that many at one time..I'm dumb but is it possible
this is faked for views.. If pearls were so easily harvested like this, they wouldn't cost what they cost. I see rose quartz, agate and other stones in there that don't grow in clams..
@@marcelinaurbanowicz3045 it's faked for views. They earn income from every view. Oysters don't grow giant pink, blue and purple pearls all in the same shell.. And if it were this easy, real pearls wouldn't be so expensive. I've watched how an oyster is "seeded" and the years it takes to grow that into a pearl..
Any " irritant " that enters, is coated with the same process that makes the interior of the shell smooth , creating a pearl , the same color as the interior of the shell , this video is click bait , pearls are only one color and are graded on their color , they don't come from clams , they come from oysters
Pearls are created from grains of sand that gets inside the clam. The sand irritates the clam and then gets coated by the clam softening the sharp edges. Eventually the coating becomes a pearl within the clam. The inside of the clam shell is referred to as Mother Of Pearl for obvious reasons. Cultured pearl are assisted by man, hence the word, cultured. These are natural pearls and quite beautiful.
I'm sorry, but no. These clams have been seeded. Yes, they have naturally coated or "pearled" the beads, stones or whatever was used to seed, but it didn't start as an irritant in it's bivalves.
@@naturemommyandchildrenanda3836 I can only assume it's very uncomfortable but a mollusk's natural defense to an irritant in it's bivalve is to coat it in layers so the sharp edges stop irritating it. Hopefully the seeding materials used don't irritate it like that, but how else would their defense mechanisms be activated 🤷 idk, but either way the practice seems wrong to me.
@@k.nicoledavis8537 It seems wrong to me to. They are still living creatures although very simple. I hate to see them uncomfortable just for some jewelry. And it really is a lot on these videos.
Some of them look and sound like glass, not a natural pearl. A pearl is naturally formed when a clam can not expel an irritant and it forms a deposit around said irritant. They also do not naturally form that many or in that many colors. A bit Sus!
So many ignorant know it alls commenting... They are CULTURED FRESH WATER PEARLS grown on family farms in China. The Chinese have been cultivating these pearls for hundreds of years. Beautiful!!
LOL first clam is fresh and has not been open yet, But second clam you can see is gaping open a little and is already cut when she splits it apart. Also you get no close up of this to prevent looking closely. Truly working hard to fool all.
I’ve seen them in Thailand and they did have different colors of pearls but we went deep sea fishing. They caught a lot of sting ray and huge clams and oysters
They're putting beads in them to quicken the process to make pearls. If you start with a grain of sand for them to make the pearl, it will take ages to make enough layers for it to get big. If they start with a full bead, it will only take a few layers... a decent chunk of the ones they seeded in to make pearls did NOT get coated, so they're coming back out as plain beads.
Hmmmp suspicious. It was freahly harvested yet the clams already exibiting signs of decay. If it was that big. We are sure that the sizes of the pearl surely differs.
Those giant clams can not be that easy to crack open. Didn't know clams produce this variety of colors, especially the magenta ones. Not sure this is legit. I don't think these Giants are that easy to find. Nice video though.
Well, these aren't pearls - they're plastic and glass beads with holes drilled into them - Inspire honestly don't understand the purpose of this video..

In my teenage years I was looking for and finding pearls. Freshwater pearls are very thiny! I did resesrch and found that big pearls like that! Can be found deep in the ocean! It is true that fresh water clams do have multiple pearls. They Are shaped like tears. just in very rear cases Are freshwater pearls round like that! In what country is that? Its the biggest clams iv seen

I've only bought the pearl necklace kits, and even just opening that one little clam for little pear grosses me out. I'm not a fan of any kid of sea food. So while I started to open it I actually got it, my mom had to finish it for me. 😩🙈 but these pearls are gorgeoussss. I wonder how much they for??
