I think I read somewhere that many koreans have english names because people outside of Korea mostly don't know how to pronounce their names. So instead of completely messing up their real names people can call them by their english names. The Treasure members all have english names: Hyunsuk - Daniel/Danny, Jihoon - Jun, Yoshi - Jaden, Junkyu - David, Jaehyuk - Kevin, Asahi - Arthur, Doyoung - Sam, Haruto - Travis, Jeongwoo - Justin, Junghwan - John Yedam and Mashiho also have english names: Mamo (Mashiho) and Kyle (Yedam)

To add to this, Asahi has had the name Arthur for long before Treasure debuted. Back during Treasure Box, his name tag said Arthur rather than Asahi so that almost was his debut name. Hyunsuk's English name was Danny Choi, but recently he's said in livestreams that he is changing it to Jude because he wants a less used English name.

Treasure has English Name Hyunsuk - Daniel (he changed it to Jude) Jihoon - Jun Yoshi - Jaden Junkyu - David Jaehyuk - Kevin Asahi - Arthur Doyoung - Sam Haruto - Travis Jeongwoo - Justin Junghwan - John Although they don't use it but I think it was given or chosen by them during English class. Koreans usually have English name. They use it mostly when they travel abroad so its easier for others to say it rather than their Korean name.

Here are their English Names: HYUNSUK = Daniel (now he changed it to Jude) JIHOON = Jun YOSHI = Jaden JUNKYU = David (but a lot of TEUMES call him Jerome after the release of MOVE) JAEHYUK = Kevin ASAHI = Arthur DOYOUNG = Sam HARUTO = Travis JEONGWOO = Justin JUNGHWAN = John

A lot of Koreans have English names because they are enrolled in English academies (similar to a cram school) as kids and get to pick a name to go by while there. As far as idols with English stage names go, most of them that aren't either 1) a foreigner or 2) a korean who's LIVED in a foreign country, only use it as a stage name and nothing else. The one exception I know of is the soloist Kang Daniel, who legally changed his name from Euigeon to Daniel in high school because his friends had a hard time pronouncing it.

I’m not 100% certain but I think with Felix, his grandad gave him his Korean name so I don’t imagine it was something that he got when he came to Korea but rather had it his whole life and never used it. Also, you could say that Bangchan is the opposite as he goes by his Korean name despite being Australian. Another example might be Karina from aespa who’s Korean but goes by her English baptismal name professionally (like Hwasa with Maria). Also Anton from riize is Korean but lived in America for many years so again professionally goes by his English name but the members call him his Korean name.
