Adapting. Thriving. Changing. Growing. Facing the unknown every waking day. This is my story, and I hope that you find encouragement, community, friendship here. A journey of life with a child who was born with severe disabilities, and how we are making our way through the ups and downs.
Daniel was born with a rare condition called Polymicrogyria. It was caused by the virus, CMV (cytomegalovirus). Daniel has extensive medical problems and disabilities, but we have created a loving support structure for him, and the 5 of us, and our pets, find lots of joy and love. A very unique family dynamic for sure!

@EmilysLifeOnWheels I can't imagine what the mother is going through plus she just had her first grandchild. I remember when I first discovered Daniel and his needs because I do have special needs as well and I live in Massachusetts where her other son is attending college. Still can't believe he's gone I just found out this morning while I was at the laundromat seeing the Facebook post. Not a good way to start 2024 though.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Daniel. I saw your Facebook post today. I have not been following your channel because I had a long health journey last year myself. I am able to catch up on videos now. Thank you for sharing Daniel with everyone via these videos. I am going to go back and find the video where you discussed his diagnosis.

Sweet ,sweet Daniel, love it when he smiles and makes funny faces.😊 Also Julie love the Xmas items from your in-laws. I’d keep them all. Julie I wish you could update your videos , maybe put them out faster. I hope you are doing well with this snowstorm we’ve had. Here in Illinois we did get about 10 inches or more,hope everyone did well with it. I love you all ,And a Happy Birthday John 🎉🎉🎂🎉🎉😀

It’s been hard for me to find time to edit and upload. I’ve been back and forth to CA 5 times. Became a Nana.. and have not had my heart into my own creative projects as much as I would love. I have to remember that a few people out there find value and encouragement in my Vlog, podcast and such. Sometimes…. I get down since so no one in my family gets me fully. lol. But you are right. And I went through a long period in November December where I wasn’t recording. So I will catch up fast.

Im so so sorry for your loss. Your family and in particular Daniel has been on my mind since i heard the news from Sarah's post.. i hope its ok to share and i will preface this by saying im not a psychic but i feel compelled to say it.. When i saw Sarah's post i could hear his goofy laugh in my mind so clearly and got a strong sense of peace. Iv also had in my head, my ariel, my ariel im ok over and over as it pertains to Sarah. Don't know if that even makes sense to you or your family, but i felt compelled to say it.... Please let us know if we can in someway be of help Sending so much love and light ❤❤❤
